Friends recommended the Savoy for an overnight stay after our cruise. We thanked them heartily. It is a very grand old style hotel in a central location. The breakfast buffet was a bit disappointing with mostly bread and pastries. The scrambled eggs and bacon ran out by about 8:00 am and didn't get replenished. Everything else about our stay was...

Reasonable price for a city hotel. Room and bathroom were nice and clean Public areas are very ornate with high ceilings. Staff at reception were very efficient. Breakfast which was included was very good, but the restaurant in the evening was closed and eating in the lounge was not satisfactory. Bit of a hike to some of the tourist attractions...

The location is good, a short walk to Av. 9 de Julio. The room was a good size with comfortable beds and great water pressure. The food, both the breakfast buffet and the lobby bar was delicious. What really kicked this up was the staff-from early check-in on, they were professional, informed and compassionate. Also, the quirky art touches from...

The hotel is a turn of the century hidden gem. The Hotel is excellent. The staff were outstanding and assisted with everything we asked. The front desk crew all spoke English and were always willing to assist us in our requests. Our first room on our return from the waterfalls had no internet and the staff moved us right away...

Central location good for walking the major buildings.1920s make for romance with main reception opulent plasterwork and mirrors with sweeping stairway.Evita and Einstein were here too. The room was uptodate with walkin rain shower and efficient quiet aircon but only one chair.Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. We did not dine in as it was more fun in the neighbourhood....

Stayed one night here when arriving in Buenos Aires. The staff were really helpful (especially Brian, who was so friendly and nice). Very minor things to differentiate it from a 5 star hotel. There's a gym, better for cardio bunnies than weightlifters though, as the weights are very light and this ends up being very limiting for exercices like deadlifts.

Has obviously was been a grand hotel, in need of renovation now. Splendid staircase but carpet doesn't look like it's been changed in 50 years, dirty and threadbare. Breakfast included in the price and was excellent with a great selection. Room was not so great, basic with a view of a brick wall and no tea or coffee making facilities,...
