This hotel is very classical and was renovated in 2016. We stayed in room 542 very spacious with a separate sitting room area. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom less spacious with a toilet behind a door and bidet very close to the toilet. The breakfast service is poor and slow. I asked for a lemon tea and thus arrived with hot...

Stayed twice in a week and enjoyed the experience. Could use a "coffee shop" for late evening dinners in (room service was excellent, though), but breakfast was very good, staff attentiveness and concierge services very professional.

This is a serious, efficient and well organised first class hotel. Good room standards, OK breakfast in L'Orangerie where the staff are only OK. Outstanding concierge who really makes the whole place tick and did much to enhance our BA visit.

Could not ask for a better luxury hotel. Everything was perfect, from the bellhop, reception staff, concierge, room, restaurant/bar and room service for breakfast. Also very convenient location in the Recolat district.

This was our second visit included with an APT Antarctic expedition. We have stayed at many 5 star hotels with APT but the Alvear Palace would have to be the best. It oozes opulence but not over the top. The beds are magnificent and the rooms are so well appointed that you cannot want for anything (except for tea/coffee making...

My wife and I have stayed here 4 times now and have thoroughly enjoyed each visit. Locally known as the best "classic" hotel in BA, the Hyatt Park being the "trendy" alternative, its old world charm makes it the clear winner for me. TIP: If you have the hotel concierge arrange a transfer from the airport upon your arrival AND...

This was our third trip to Buenos Aires but first time at the Alvear Palace. Incomparable service with top drawer amenities. High touch service to include nightly turndown service with linen refresh to a concierge desk that confirmed airline reservations...
