We stayed here for 2 separate nights in January. The first night was at the end of our cruise. Then we took a land tour for several days & returned for one more night at the end of the tour. The lobby is very nice. We had a king room each time (on 3rd & then 2nd floor). The rooms were spacious. The bathroom had a walk in shower, a separate tub and a sink with good counter space. Breakfast was a buffet with lots of good choices & good coffee. They opened the buffet at 7 am. There were several restaurants across the street. Also there was an upscale shopping mall that took about 10 minutes to walk to. The swimming pool that was downstairs looked nice but we didn't have time to use it. Cons were both our rooms did not provide any facial tissues & we did not have any washcloths. …
Pretty nice looking hotel. 2 bath towels in room, 7.50 water. Air conditioning is poor in the room and in the lobby. Downright hot at bar. Lounge chairs in bar have stains everywhere. Amazing, they leave them out. Friendly staff for the most part. Nice location. Management runs a scam where if you get there early you can’t have a room till 3 pm. But, if you shell out an extra hundred a room mysteriously shows up. We paid and were glad to get in early. I guess a real service oriented hotel would just let us check in.
We were given the wrong configuration room and this hotel charges for all bottled drinking water! There is no information in the room about prices and the coffee also charged for even though you have to make it yourself. Breakfast is a very limited affair which you eat because you have to. If you have another choice of any other 5 star hotel in Buenas Aires I suggest you go there. There are no robes in the rooms. How this hotel has the cheek to call itself a 5star hotel is a mystery to me and I do know what I am talking about just see my many other reviews! Nuff said.
This is an above adequate place to stay. The rooms overall are dated and could use updating. The availability of outlets in your rooms to charge electronics is scarce. The water pressure in the sink non existent. The breakfast is just ok . A decent place that can use some improvement.
Our rooms were very spacious. The bathrooms were also very large. Best shower ever! You would have to take one to know what I’m talking about. Very comfortable bar/Lounge with food. We had the fun to watch Argentina become World Cup champions in the lounge. We were able to walk to the Obelisk without trouble. Also, easy to get a cab from hotel.
Was booked here by the cruise line en route to Antarctica. The experience at the front desk at check-in was rather poor. The lady serving us had taken our passports to make copies and was insisting that she had returned them to us until her male colleague joined in and found them and returned. Not expected of a 5 star hotel.
Very comfortable hotel. Our room had been recently refurbished. Nice and quiet. Large room with 2 beds and large bathroom with bath and shower. Pleasant bar and restaurant. Breakfast was very good, which good selection of foods on the buffet. Local restaurant opened early for European tastes.
Our cruise started us here at hotel, our first night of introduction to Antarctica on Hurtigruten and our registration. We were assigned here for only 1 night. Nice hotel as in our room was very spacious and bathroom roomy for 2 people same time. Air conditioner was quiet and easily adjustable. Good location to restaurants and a mall nearby. Can't comment on restaurants on site since we did not use them.
This could so easily be 5 stars but they skimp on things and it feels like they are money grabbing. No dressing gowns or slippers? Why not? And the stupidity at breakfast - the omelettes / not included. The decent coffee - not included. Tea bags and milk in bed room - not included It makes the hotel feel like it lacks hospitality and this has never been my experience anywhere else in Argentina. The staff are lovely and the car service from the airport was great but these little things are unnecessary and give a bad impression which could so easily be corrected
Staying here for two weeks, but I am very disappointed. The hotel is supposed to be a five star hotel. However, the rooms don’t have blinds so that the room is alight in the night, there are no amenities like water kettle, shower gel, tea/coffee in the room and for breakfast if you like a cappuccino this goes extra. The hotel is a good place, but not worth the price.
