A very pleasent hotel in the middle of the city. Large open spaces, very nicely decorated public areas and a wonderful garden for lunch and/or dinner! The room we had was very spacious, clean and in very good shape. A large and very clean bathroom. The waitresses in the restaurant and the technical staff was very friendly and helpful. And...

Our cruise line selected this hotel for us for a pre-cruise trip to the Iguazu Falls and a trip to others countries in South America. An excellent choice since it turned out to be comfortable, quiet, and restful for us despite the throng of other travelers, businessmen, and flight attendants who kept the hotel buzzing with activity. We had rooms...

This is a very clean hotel in a good neighborhood . Bathrobes in each rooms with slippers, and coffee maker. Surprisingly an expensive first class hotel like this does not provide coffee or tea to put in the coffee maker ! Breakfast is nice and quite extensive, air conditioning works well and rooms are quiet. On arrival you are given...

This is one of those ultraclassical, grand hotels with loads of rococo, gilded furniture that just aren't for me (mind you, I have nothing against a five-star hotel). But I didn't have a choice: I was part of a group of people going on a cruise, and the pre-embarkation night was at the Emperador. I was tired and hot by...

The rooms are large with comfortable beds, even robes and slippers. The service is excellent. The breakfast is filling with a variety of breads, eggs and fruit. The location is in a safe area of the city near restaurants.

It is incredible that a hotel of this level doesn't have irons in the rooms and even worse that they want to get more money charging irony by the laundry service. Terrible! Additionally, the service at the main restaurant is really bad.

Dear Guest, After many accidents of burnt carpet in the guest rooms and burnt bed covers, Hotel decided for safety reasons, do not offer irons for th use of guest in the room directly due to these accidents. Intead, we offer, if it is just a light pressing or light ironing shirt or just one piece of cloth to be...

We had to wait for a few hours until our room was available. The wi-fi was fast but we had to wait to use it until we were allocated a room. Our room was low down but was at the back of the hotel overlooking the small garden. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Recolata district of...

We stayed here twice - 2 nights before a trip to Antarctica and then 3 days after the trip. Location: central within walking distance of recoleta. Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
