I only spent one night as I could not get to the apartment in the middle of the night. Two single beds were comfortable, but the ancient AC was so noisy I had to turn it off. The breakfast was very good and the staff very accommodating. Have recommended it t friends mainly because of location and excellent price.

In general we were happy with our stay at the Wilton Hotel. It is in an excellent location in Recoleta/Barrio Norte. Lots of shopping and restaurants right out side your door.
It was nice to be able to check into the hotel after arriving from the U.S. at 9 AM in the morning. We were not expecting to be able to but appreciated being able to take a quick nap and shower.

The rooms were quite dated though so you need to keep an open mind. They are very sparsely decorated and the TV is mounted to the wall with brackets. I did not feel as though it was the cleanest room in the world but I think this was because the décor had been worn out by age. The bed/sheets and bathroom were clean though and that’s what matters. The housekeeping service was very nice and seemed to be competent.

Breakfast was excellent in the hotel. We stayed at two other hotels while in Buenos Aires and this was by the far the best breakfast at the lowest price per night. We paid $55 a night including VAT tax and breakfast. We booked this through a local travel agent for the better deal.

The staff was very helpful. I was never once approached to purchase a tour by the stadd so perhaps they’ve stopped this. They did not go out of there way to be nice but once asked they gave quite good advice. They did have working knowledge of English as well.

In general if you are looking for a comfortable bed in a great area then this is your place. If you want five-star or even four-star hotel look elsewhere. By U.S. standards I would definitely say it is an above-average two star hotel.

This was my first and only hotel I stayed at in Buenos Aires. Concurred with most of the previous reports. Some new observations: The bellboys are actually more helpful than the reception clerks and more courteous. They speak better English than some of the reception clerks. I bought my laptop with me because I called ahead and told free wireless internet access is available. I positioned my laptop around my room and got a weak single at best. And could not get pass the provider (telefonica) splash page. Could be configuration setting on my part. But no big deal, 3 computers high-speed internet were available in the business office on the first floor. The day of my check out, I stored my luggage in the hotel, did some more sight seeing. Returned to the hotel around 4:00 pm, used the fitness center in the 14th floor for a shower and got changed before heading out to the airport for my red-eyed flight home. Was very happy to able to do that.

NO A/C!!! BE AWARE!!! This by far the worst hotel condition in Buenos Aires for the location. Owners doesn’t want to fix the AC (told by same employees) since November 2022!!!! Can’t be that cheap! Counter service rude and unprofessional. The only nice guys was the overnight guy with with hair. Marcos(front counter) rude dude! Do not stay there pay extra $20 and go somewhere else! Rooms is dirty and outdated. Walk AC box are from 1960 and don’t work properly. Carpet dirty and super super nasty.

We stayed in room 601 and had to leave because of bed bugs. The carpet has stains.
On top of that following day, they charged me for the cancellation of an extra night.

Very noisy. Lack of parking.
Ancient furniture.
They won't offer you a second key.
The lobby has worn sofas.
Pricey for the crappy conditions they offer.

Booked as part of Expedia travel package, in which the rates were very reasonable (i.e. plane fare plus 2 nights hotel was about $850 whereas plane fare alone would have been $1100!) Go figure. A perfectly respectable tourist class hotel with a nice breakfast including meats and cheese in addition to delicious Argentine pastries (facturas are not to be missed!). BEWARE though: the staff at the front desk not only has no clue, but will pretend to have one. One member will tell you one thing, another the opposite, and then when you point this out to someone who appears to be in charge, you are told that the correct person to ask was not available. As if this is an excuse for making stuff up!!! For example, because we were told that a particular museum was open, we ended up making a 30 minute trip to a museum which was closed, and which was not in a good neighborhood for walking around. Based on this, I'll opt for a different hotel next time I'm in BA.

I didn't really like this hotel too much. I thought it was pretty dated and a bit too noisy for my taste. The carpet was dingy and the ac didn't work very well. But I did like the bathrooms. They were very pretty and clean. The dining room service was excellent and the breakfast was always delicious.

I would have given it a higher score if it were not for the poor service I received towards the end of my stay.

I left my luggage in their storage closet for one night while I took a day trip to Iguazu Falls. Upon my return, the wheels were broken off. Of course it was not like that when I left it there, but they got indignant and told me I was lying. They were not trying to hear my case and dismissed me. From that time on, the people at the front desk were very cold and standoffish towards me.

There are plenty of hotels in B.A. and I will not be staying there again.

This hotel is ideally located in beautiful Recoleta with great shopping and an abundance of restaurants/cafes.
The hotel has a nice lobby and the workers are extremely helpful. There's also free internet service which you will most likely have to stand on line for.
As for the room.......If you are looking to stay in a posh hotel room with many amenities, this hotel is not for you. The room we had was a no-frills, completely plain room with a bed, a small table and a closet. The carpets were kind of worn but overall, the room was functional and clean.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel. We paid less than $100 a night and we probably got a little more than expected....it even included free breakfast everyday!

We were pleasantly surprised with the Wilton Hotel. It is a very moderately priced hotel (including breakfast) in a very good location. Rooms are clean, and totally adequate.

The only two drawbacks are that there was no safe in the room, but the hotel has one for a very minimal charge and there was no minibar, but certainly not a real problem.

We also had to pay for internet access, which was totally worth it to my husband who wrote wonderful trip reports to our family of our trips to Buenos Aires, Bariloche and Rio. For those who might travel to Bariloche, the Llao Llao is probably one of the most beautiful places to stay -- expensive, but worth it.

Anyone wanting more information, please feel free to contact me. We used a wonderful travel agent named Clider from Affinity Travel who is a treasure.

the wilton was not the best hotel I stayed in buenos aires. For the price it was ok, but there are better at the same price level. I would rate this hotel 2 to 3 stars. No way this is a 4 star hotel. There is no fridge, the television is small, the walls are paper thin (you can hear what your neighbor is doing), and the staff will try and sell you tours and other stuff everyday. The staff though was very nice and they speak english. The location was also pretty good, right next to mcdonalds, some 24 hour pharmacies, 24 hour eateries, etc.. The other thing I didn't like was I couldn't cancel or leave earlier without losing my entire payment. Overall, it was good but I would probably not stay here again. the lack of fridge was the big kicker.
