This beautiful boutique hotel is on a quiet street near great shopping and sights. The entire staff is fabulous, accommodates your every need and speaks English. The spacious suite had a lovely view overlooking the gazebo below which was their wonderful sushi/Asian restaurant, LIMA for a romantic late night dinner with a huge drink/food menu(all delicious). The included cooked to order breakfast was served in their attractive bar or in your room. Afternoon fresh squeezed juice and chocolate mousse profiteroles were the “icing on the cake” for an exceptional stay after enjoying the 4th floor outdoor rooftop patio. This hotel is a special gem!
Hub Porteno is an old mansion that has been converted into sumptious suites. It has a very subdued entry. When we arrived we were immediately greeted by the concierge. Before we were escorted to our room, we mentioned that we would like to eat dinner at LIMA, the restaurant on site. She immediately got us a reservation; so much appreciated! When we saw our suite, we were in love! So much attention to detail and personal touches you would find in a private home. The bathroom was gorgeous, with a chandelier over the tub and bath salts to use. The room was quiet, plush pillows and a thick quilted comforter to snuggle into. Super clean! We passed by the lounge area after dinner and indulged in the beautiful and delicious desserts (with a flower garnish). We had breakfast in the small cafe with bacon and eggs (served in gorgeous dishes) again with flower garnish. Delicious. The fourth floor balcony has a living wall of plants and custom table and chairs. The hospitality and personal attention by staff made us feel like the only guests there.…
The hotel is beautiful and well located. But the best, by far, is the hospitality. Hotel employees take care of every single detail. Customer experience is superb. I will definitely go back every time I visit Buenos Aires.
Buenos Aeries is a big city and choosing where to stay is not easy. Luckily I found this boutique hotel in Recoleta. The staff were great, and the rooms were huge and comfortable, Coldplay were touring BA while we were there and chose to have there concert after party at the hotel, so that hasto tell you something! Although we spent most of our time visiting the city, time spent in the hotel was great, they have a lovely roof garden, and an in house resturant. They serve afternoon tea and cakes in the salon, and even though we missed it a few times Vanny brought cakes to our room. Recoleta is very up market, and the hotel is well situated for tours all over the city. There is a great coffee shop on the corner, as well as a few great bars in the surrounding streets. Be aware! BA has a very late start culture, stores open from 10.00am and if you get to a resturant before 9.00pm you will probably be the only people there. So have very lazy starts to your day. We toured a lot of the city, must see areas are San Telmo, Camanito and Soho Palermo which has a lot of resturants and bars. If you are tired of eating Asado, try Osaka in Palermo Soho, great fusion Japanese or Puerta del Inca in San Telmo which has great sushi and seafood. There is also a huge open air Market in San Telmo every sunday that runs about 15 blocks, take it slow and enjoy all the food and artisanal wears on offer. There is a lot of junk, but a few jewels. Of course the wine in Argentina is amazing and we indulged in a lot of Malbec. Great tip- Find out about the blue dollar rate vs the official bank rate, you will save a fortune.…
We stayed a total of 5 nights at the Hub Porteno between arriving in BA and returning after travel. It is located in the lovely affluent neighbourhood of Recoleta where many other large hotels (Hyatt, Four Seasons, Sofitel etc.) are located. But this is a small boutique hotel on a side street which is quiet with large beautifully furnished rooms and particularly large modern bathrooms. You walk out the door and can be at many sites in a short walk. Nearby are many restaurants and cafes. The neighbourhood is bustling. I recommend you ask for a room facing the courtyard as the street can be a bit noisy. The staff were lovely and helpful. The breakfast was quite good as was the lovely young waitress who served us every morning with a lively smile. I do think that you get larger more lovely rooms in this boutique hotel than you would at one of the larger hotels with a lot more peace and quiet. We did spend some time on the terrace rooftop on the 4th floor and enjoyed that. I also used the equipment in the very small gym area (elliptical, treadmill, bike). Nearby, we went to the restaurant, Fervour. It is high end and has good food. But right beside it is a gem of a place that all the locals frequent called El Sanjuanino which has empanadas and a lot more for a very reasonable price. We went there twice and enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere and good food. I would also say walking around Recoleta is very safe, including at night so the location was a bonus from that perspective as well.…
If you like small luxury hotels in beautuful neighborhoods, look no further. The rooms are like huge suites, the staff is so helpful, a gorgeous breakfast is served either in your room or in the restaurant where we had a terrific sushi dinner, and the upstairs outdoor terrace is a lovely spot as well. Note, there really is not a gym, it's just a bike and eliptical, but that would be the only drawback.
I was treated to a trip to BA by my son and could not have chosen a better hotel. I much prefer this type than the big luxury hotels. This was previously a home and still feels like you are a special guest in a private home. 11 rooms, a lovely terrace, comfortable sitting room, bar and restaurant on the main floor is all that's needed. The hotel is in the beautiful Recoleta neighborhood and is a close walk to a beautiful park, shopping and restaurants. The staff was all friendly and attentive. Large rooms, great shower pressure and breakfast included made for a wonderful stay. I highly recommend Hub Porteno!
Staying at the Hub Porteno felt as though you were in someones elegant home. It was quiet, lovely and very genteel. My room was large and comfortable with all the amenities that were needed, large closet, robe, great bathroom , desk and a little table and chairs . The restaurant at the hotel is lovely but was not in use when I was there it was available for room service which was great , the food quite good, especially the empanadas. The staff was excellent, Ivana could not have been kinder and more helpful. If you enjoy small intimate hotels without a lot of bells and whistles, this should be your choice when staying in Buenos Aires.
This is a boutique hotel in an excellent location within walking distance to many highlights. The rooms are big and the shower water pressure the best I‘ve ever seen! But what truly makes this hotel great are the staff. Front desk manager Andre is outstanding as is his female teammate (I don’t have her name.) The bar and restaurant staff are also very friendly and professional. This hotel is a great way to enjoy Buenos Aires!
My wife and I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough if you are looking for a special hotel experience in a fabulous city. After a long haul overnight flight it was lovely to receive such a warm and personal welcome. Originally constructed as a private residence it has been tastefully converted into an exclusive boutique hotel. The suite was just as shown on the hotel's website with loads of space and a very well equipped jacuzzi bath/shower room. We loved the roof terrace which was the ideal place to unwind after a day exploring the city. We were served complimentary snacks and drinks on terrace whilst chatting to fellow guests. The ground floor bar and separate restaurant have plenty of character. What really makes this hotel standout are the staff. Without exception we found them to be professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They take great pride in somehow knowing who you are without you having to introduce yourself. We found the surrounding area safe and interesting to explore. There are numerous bars, restaurants, shops and history in the world renowned Recoleta district.…
