The location of the hotel is super convenient. About 10 minutes walk from subway station. There are countless of restaurants and cafes nearby. There are several ice cream shops nearby as well, which we visit every single day. There are several supermarkets nearby too. It is walkable to Cementerio de Recoleta as well. We walked a few times from hotel to city centre too (Florida, Lavalle, Casa Rosada, etc).

Hotel room was much bigger than I expected. The room was super clean. The bed was comfortable to get a restful sleep.

Hotel staffs were all very friendly. I had a nice conversation with front door security Nicolas who was really nice.

As its name implies, this is an apartment style hotel which is also a sister property of Callao Suites located just 2 short blocks away. Both properties are managed by the same company and have many similarities consisting of the virtually same room design and business model. While I have stayed at Callao Suites on numerous occasions while in Buenos Aires, and gave it very good reviews, this facility falls short of Callao Suites in a few areas, although it is still recommended with some reservations. The property has a professional staff during the day which provides very basic guest services quite well, but do not expect anything close to a full service hotel. There are no bell services, pool, gym, bar or restaurant on-site, but the staff can assist with arranging transportation and tour services, and at least one staff member did speak some English. At night, only a security guard (who speaks only Spanish) is on duty, although he can check-in guests holding reservations. There are 4 apartments on each floor, and each has a kitchenette, with a sink, microwave, hot water pot, mini-fridge, dining table for 2 persons with an adequate assortment of dishes and utensils. There was no couch but 2 chairs are provided for relaxing. My king bed room on the 10th floor had a small patio with two chairs and a small table for drinks with very little view. There was also a small closet, safe, an LCD TV with 70 Spanish language cable channels, but no desk. The bed was comfortable as were the 2 large pillows, but the curtains do not adequately keep out the morning light. The split duct AC worked very well. There was no street noise, but light sleepers may notice hall noise, as all the floors are hard laminate (no carpeting) and transmit lots of sound. The bathroom was quite small, with a tiny single vanity, with most of the bathroom taken up by the full size bathtub. Water pressure was very good as was hot water for the most part, but keep in mind each apartment has its own water heater so very long showers or full baths may strain the limited hot water supply. My room was cleaned each day, although towels were not replaced daily. A huge negative for my room was the very poor Wi-Fi. Although Wi-Fi is provided free, it was painfully slow, prong to dropped signals, and only worked close the room’s front door. I complained to 3 staff members about the Wi-Fi problems, but there was no resolution during my stay which appeared to be a systemic issue. The Wi-Fi in the very small reception area did work well, but there is only seating for 2 persons and it would be impractical to use Wi-Fi in this area for any extended time. The neighborhood is packed with restaurants, nightclubs and shopping all in the immediate area. Guests are provided free passes at check-in for a coffee, juice and pastry at a local coffee shop which is the included breakfast. If you desire to exercise, there are 2 gyms on the same street, but it will cost you US$50 for a one week pass, or a local park is just a block away. If you do not require Wi-Fi, this property is actually highly recommended for up to 2 persons. At a price of just under US$50/night including all taxes, it was a terrific bargain, however, advertising the property offers Wi-Fi is a marginal representation, at best, and until this problem is resolved, Callao Suites, with its somewhat larger rooms and working Wi-Fi (and cable Wi-Fi) would be worth the USS10-$15 more per night for comparable (and marginally larger) accommodations in the same neighborhood. If the Wi-Fi had worked properly, the rating would be a strong “4”, and if management and/or reviewers advise this problem has been resolved, I would enjoy staying here again.

It is my second visit to this hotel, stayed 16 nights this time. This time the staff were very friendly helpfull and smiley. .The room was large and clean I suggest they can put more toilet paper and soaps, the towels were changed since my report of last year .
The only thing that needs urgent attention is the air condition it is noisy and useless.
I will definitely stay in this hotel in my next visit

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel has a great location, right in the heart of the city. The room was large and clean, and it had a well-stocked kitchenette -- very useful for a longer stay. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and they offered a variety of useful services like shuttles and money changing.

There were a few downsides: internet was slow and spotty, and the view from our window of the interior of the building wasn't particularly great. However, I would absolutely stay here again!

These apartments are very well located, spacious, clean and modern. You can fit up to three people in them (a couple plus one other person / child). A very simple breakfast is included but it is NOT on location, you need to walk around the block. On weekdays it is served as of 8:30, on weekends as of 9:00. If it rains, that would be an issue. However, it is a fully equiped apartment, with stove, fridge and tableware so if you want you can buy things in the area.

There are four apartments per floor, I recommend the numbers ending in 03 and 04 which do not face the street. The ones ending in 01 and 02 face the street and it is a noisy street. The windows have poor sound insulation.

The 24-hour front desk service was a plus because we arrived at 2am. The apartment was clean and spacious. There's a late night cafe around the corner where you can get delicious empanadas and steak. It's close proximity to many restaurants, shops and convenient stores. The Recoleta cemetery is close by as well. This is a great space in the beautiful neighborhood of Recoleta.

Convenient location, has elevators, clean, spacious apartment, kitchen area well equipped, plenty of storage for clothes, lots of hot water for the shower, free wifi, television, seating area, balcony, etc., staff was helpful and accommodating. We had an off the street room with a balcony (no view). We believe it was quieter than being at the front of the building. Would exchange money at the front desk. One downside is they only have one handicap (accommodations) rental (which we were unable to rent because it was already taken). Our bathroom had everything you could need but my friend found it very difficult to use the shower as it had a very high step into. The entrance from the sidewalk has a step up, but once inside there was a ramp for less mobile individuals, as well as steps.

Do not care about the clients. Did not offer a solution to a self create problem. They cancelled my reservation under a bogus claim, and did not offer a solution or alternative.i was traveling when they notified me of the cancellation and did not offer a second choice. They said " you are in your own"

Response from ElApart, Propietario at San Diego Recoleta Apartments
Responded May 2, 2019
Saludos cordiales.
