It's a small hotel off of Florida where everything is a stone throw away. The rooms are decent with very good shower. The bar is minimal and the breakfast is acceptable. The staff are very helpful and offered lay away baggage at no cost.

The Promenade is located near the Florida street which leads to the main points and avenues, filled with shops and tourists and people yelling " cambio!" to get your currency exchanges. It's near a Park, and you have a Carrefour market right across the street, and some restaurants. It's not quite the central location though not far, it's more the...

This is a reasonably priced hotel in a great location. It has seen better days but is neat and tidy. The staff was pleasant and very accommodating. My room was clean and comfy. I have stayed in much worse and much better. This did the job for 2 nights at a very very reasonable rate. My only complaint is the...

The hotel is very well situated to the city center. That's the only positive point. The rooms are very noisy, not at all clean, the breakfast is already non-existing, and the staff is very unfriendly.

We just loved being right in the heart of things, great area full of bars and restaurants and near the main shopping street Florida!! The hotel was fine, a small, old-fasioned city hotel, at a great price. Our room was quite nice, the bed was good, everything adequate. Can recommend it for people that are more interested in the city...

The Hotel is located in the heart of Retiro, walking distance from Puerto Madero, Retiro train station, Florida Street and several Pub´s and Restaurants. The cost realtion is very attractive. Its possible to book without breakfat (their are several Cafe´s in the neighbourhood)

Let me start by saying that the location is fantastic. The hotel is surrounded by a trendy neighbourhood, around the corner from Florida Avenue with amazing shopping and great restaurants. The reason why I am not completely satisfied is because the staff are very RUDE! We felt as though we were a burden when we asked a question, for example...

We stopped here a total of 4 nights, we found the location great right near to Florida avenue and the underground station. The rooms are comfortable with regular cleaning, we found the price close to Hostel rates for the two of us around 300 pesos per night via Booking.com. the breakfast is traditional but more than enough to fill you...

The stay at this hotel was somewhat disappointing. I selected it based on prior reviews that focused on staff friendliness and willingness to help. This was not my experience at all. Looking at all those reviews, I now notice they were written a couple of years ago, and those individuals must be long gone, replaced by aloof, indifferent personnel, who...

Hotel Promenade is a perfectly adequate hotel that's situated in a great section of Buenos Aires. My room was essentially a bed, a bad TV, and a functional bathroom (with a great shower), but here it's all about location, location, location, and for the price you can't do much better--especially if you're willing to walk. The staff bumps my rating...

Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
