The hotel is located in downtown Buenos Aires, walking distance to major attractions. I wish the used the breakfast room in the back instead of the tiny bar up front for breakfast every morning. The hotel definitely needs some updates. I went there for the first time over ten years ago and it was great. Now the carpets and bathrooms...

Stayed here for 2 nights this month. Worse reception ever. We arrived at the front desk to checkin and the staff welcomes us with a very rude "Si" (why are you even here tone). None of the staff speaks english well. Communication was a big issue, bad breakfast, issues with A/C, slow internet, list goes on...never again to this hotel

After parading around the central district looking for a great lunch spot, we saw the Midi bar & restaurant, which is apart the Lafayette hotel. We were not hotel guests but after the (lack of) service, one couldn't pay me to stay at this hotel. After entering the establishment and seeing every waiter either standing at the bar or helping...

Great location, very clean, friendly staff, breakfast is good. Our family room for 4 was just the correct size with 2 king size beds, refrigerator is small. I recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Buenos Aires.

We stayed at Lafayette Hotel for 2 nights as part of our birding tour. On the plus side, the hotel is well located and the room was adequate in size. On the negative side were the stiflingly hot hallways, the tiny elevators which didn't always function, and the shower that had such a short outlet pipe (and poor water pressure)...

IMO, This hotel needs a major refurbishment to the rooms. Not a good value. I booked a double matrimonial and got two 1 1/2 beds room instead without any choice to cancel... AC is old, room is smelly, no good ventilation and crappy floor carpets. Bed is not bad , but you can feel the springs are begging for a...

I stayed here for a stop-over between Uruguay and flying home to the States, based on the reviews I read here. We arrived for check-in around 11:30 pm and the night staff did not have sufficient English language skills to help us try to address the fact that we'd had an 11:00 dinner reservation in Puerto Madero that the ferry...

Great location, very friendly, efficient and helpful staff. Only let down was the breakfast. Rooms are very large with more than adequate amenities. Pity thaflt the aircon is difficult to control ( no remote or visible switches) . Not enough plugs. Otherwise, crispy clean sheets and clean toilets. Definitely recommendable..:)

All WAS really fine in this central hotel. We were using it as a stop over on our way down to Ushuaia to visit Antarctica! (which was like going to heaven!) so we were happy it was so central. The room was large and more than adequate. There were tea making facilities and a mini bar. Breakfast and dining there...
