Great service, great people, but the rooms are not that great, considering the price. Restaurant not good at all, I will avoid it. Rooms are small, outdated, tiny, tiny desk, so not good for business. Great location! Good internet. Breakfast starts at 7, so not good for business again. Overall it's ok, but I wont use it again, there is...

Although small, this is a very beautiful hotel, home to Evita in the 1940's. The surroundings are warm and welcoming. Location was good, within walking distance of Recoleta Cemetery, Mall and restaurants. If you have the opportunity to visit, make sure you ask for Emmanuel and Francisco at the front desk, they were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We were...

Very well located in the heart of Recoleta this hotel offers you a perfect place where to stay while enjoying the multiple culinary and shopping options available along Posadas street. This hotel, it's the place where Eva Peron lived between 1942 and 1944 before she become, the contradictory famous, Argentina First Lady during Juan Domingo Peron presidencies. An old style...

This is a well-located property with a pretty authentic Buenos Aires-feel, as it is in a nicely converted property. Rooms quiet and a little worn, but that's probably true for most hotels in Buenos Aires given the economic situation. Breakfast is abundant, there's a rooftop bar which should be nice when it's a bit warmer and staff are friendly and...

We found this hotel through Bookings.com and we're so happy we did. The location is great in Recoleta. Very safe place to walk the streets and close to some of the tourist attractions. The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom is very nice. The employees at the front desk are very helpful. We would stay there again.

In my first visit to the Melia I was amazed by the delicious breakfast with a wide variety of choices in a beautiful setting, and the very stylish rooms. On my second visit I was impressed when the desk remembered me by name! Such great service, a beautiful property, and a great location in Buenos Aires.

Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
