I am an event planner and frequent traveler and have traveled all over the globe staying at many 5 star hotels. There are a few that stand out in my memory, and I will include the Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt in those few. I personally think it is the best hotel in Buenos Aires, because once you enter you have your own "park" and it is quiet, private and very different experience than the other very good hotels. Plus the location is one of the finest.
This top-notch hotel is located in the upscale Recoleta area and is simply awesome. There are 2 buildings, one an old french-style palace and one a modern building, connected by a little park on different levels. Public areas are amazing with a beautiful blend of modern and old, lots of artworks and great decoration everywhere. Rooms are spacious and contemporary with nice furniture and decoration. Bathrooms are extra large with walk in shower, bathtub, double sinks and a separate toilet. The spa and indoor pool area are on the smaller side but nicely appointed. There are different restaurants and all are highly recommended. The bar has a terrace overlooking the whole property and is the perfect spot to enjoy the well prepared cocktails. Breakfast is very good with a mix of buffet and a la carte service. Staff all around the hotel is very friendly and professional.…
The Palacio Duhau was actually a highlight of Buenos Aries! We spent 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. We stayed in the old section of the hotel in a King Palace room which I highly recommend. Our room was delightful. Beautifully furnished, large, a view and an excellent bathroom. The new section of the hotel doesn't look as appealing. After arriving from a long flight from Australia we were disappointed that our room wasn't ready for our arrival at 5pm but our butler, Roberto, set us up with a table on the terrace with a complimentary cocktail. By the time we had finished our drink our room was ready along with a complimentary bottle of Malbec, chocolates and a card. Very nice. We dined that evening in the Duhau Restaurant on excellent Argentinian food and fabulous wine...it was so good that we ended up dining here for 3 nights out of 4! The terrace and outdoor dining space was a beautiful sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff were always helpful and attentive. Recoleta was a good location in a vast city. While the accommodation was expensive the food and drinks were very reasonably priced. I would stay again if I return.…
We stayed one night only at this hotel. It had been a palace in an earlier incarnation, and it's a gorgeous property and very luxurious. The staff were so helpful. We disembarked bright and early from our cruise ship, and arrived at the hotel in Recoleta just after 9:00 am. Surprisingly, the front desk was able to provide us with a room almost immediately. The room was very large and posh. We enjoyed all of the hotel amenities, and it's in a great location. It was a fabulous treat to have breakfast in the garden overlooking the beautiful garden and courtyard. A great place to stay in Buenos Aires!!
Very nice hotel located in the best neighborhood in BA. Very helpful staff and a nice gym. Rooms are a good size expected but bathroom is bigger than I thought. Great food and a very nice bar. Will come back again!
