This one was a Jetsetter deal I found ($145). Its located in the middle of Buenos Aires' old town. Though this is an up and coming neighborhood it can be a bit dodgy at night. The hotel labels itself as a boutique hotel and it has some touch to it. The room was huge though my bathroom was tiny (think...

Great value rooms, large and clean. Bathroom had no window so smelt of damp. AC had poor temp regulation, problem at night. Breakfast was very poor, the worst i had in 5 hotels during my stay, needs to be improved, so much potential with the location. The bar downstairs was nice great wine at good prices. Areais dodgy at night...

We were only supposed to stay at the Moreno Hotel for one night at the end of our trip but as our flights to Iguazu were cancelled we ended up staying for 3 nights - and how lucky we were. The staff are attentive and always there to help with recommendations and bookings, also when we arrived and needed to...

My second stay at the Moreno 12 months apart - some great improvements in that time. The rooms are still huge and a bonus after being in a tiny ships cabin for 8 weeks in antarctica. The roof top breakfast is a vast improvement on what was on offer before. i also like being left alone by the staff unless...

we really enjoyed staying at Moreno. the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, the rooms are big and, if you ask for a front facing, you'll have a nice view of a church (tho' a tad noisy in the morning). Breakfast on the top floor is fine, as is the outdoor jacuzzi - nothing spectacular, but fine. We really enjoyed...

When you get into the hotel it looks like an french 1930's building, by the way, it was built in this year, and the owners got a really good job maintaining the original structure, but offering all we need in confort, tecnology, and well being. I loved the 30's elevators, with pantograph doors and high tech controls. The rooms is...

My wife and I were in Moreno three nights before joining our cruise. This is a jewel of the place right downtown with good breakfast and unforgettable roof terrace. The position is very good: just a few steps from Plaza de Mayo, but the hotel has two big problems. Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
