I stayed at Soho Rooms with a friend, after having done the backpacker thing in BA first. What a nice step up, for a very affordable price. The rooms are in a perfect location in Palermo Soho - shopping, shopping, and more shopping, capped off with beautiful steak dinners! The restaurants, shops, cafes and the like in the area are...

We recently spent a month in argentina, spending 5 days each at the beginning and end at BA soho rooms. Of the many places we stayed on our trip, it was the best value. Perfect location with tons of great dining and shopping nearby, and the cab to the nearest subway (35 cents to downtown) is only $2.50. Yes, it’s...

I stayed at BA Soho with my partner for two nights while travelling through South America for six weeks and can definitely say it is the best place we have stayed. Marcelo, Sebastian, Maria and Agnostina deliver impeccable service and lived up to their reputation. They made enormous effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable and that we truly experienced...

Great location, good place. We stayed in the room with balcony and shared bathroom for USD 50. I found it very good value for this location. All the good restaurants, bar and nightlife are just a few blocks away. We saw the 35 USD rooms too, they were considerably smaller but looked fine. Our room was fairly spacious with high...

When we arrived (after emailing frequently with the hosts) we had to wait for 45 minutes at the door on the street with out luggage until another traveler let us into the building. Whoever was supposed to let us in 'had not heard the bell,' although we could hear it loud and clear all the way down on the sidewalk....

Dear all, I stayed at "BA Soho Rooms" for 4 days at the beginning of November! The appartments are situated at a great location, are well furnished (designer-style) and clean! Sebastian and Maria and their team was just extremely friendly and helpful (they helped me to plan my trip through Patagonia, etc.). Breakfast is excellent, kitchen has everything you need,...

This place is in a great location just 2 minutes walk from the main square in Palermo with great shops, drinking and food everywhere you look. It is not very sociable, so avoid it if you want to meet people. Whilst the owners spoke English and were happy to help you had to go looking for them. The rooms are...

From the moment we arrived we felt at home at BA Soho. The relaxed and helpful attitude of both Sebastian and Marcelo helped make our initiation to BA an easy one. Always willing to point us in a more interesting, less touristy direction (which was what we were after) the guys are clearly locals, and know when to help and...

The rooms are no frill and very small. The staff was extremely helpful and even let us borrow a hairdryer for the 2 nights we spent there. Breakfast was a basic toast and jelly with juice. We had to share a bathroom with 2 other rooms, but we only saw the other visitors 1 time in the 2 days we...

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
