We stayed at the hotel twice, three days apart. The first room we had was very basic and smelt of mould. The soap tray in the shower and the mirror above the sink had a lot of rust. Some of the plug socktets failed to work and there was no complimentary water in the room, and no minibar. When we checked out, we were told by the female on reception that we would be given a room upgrade when we returned. On our arrival, the male on reception also confirmed that the room was an upgrade. We stayed the second time in room 211, and it was even worse than the first room.it stunk of mould. The sprinkler part of the shower head was broken, causing the water to gush out and flood the bathroom (hence the smell of mould). On checking out the second time, a different female on reception confirmed there had been no upgrade. We told her about the state of the room, and she seemed shocked by it. The breakfast was terrible, very little choice and I chose scrambled eggs, which looked grey, and smelt and tasted of fish! Would definitely not recommend this hotel. …
My girlfriend and I stood at Anselmo for just one night, but we were amazed by the cozy atmosphere and the kind and warm service of the personnel. We had dinner in the room and enjoyed their delicious meals, wine, and cocktails. The tea and breakfast at their restaurant were delicious too. We want to thank Laura for her recommendations and the attention she put on the service. Really remarkable.
Actually a good hotel, apparently a new building behind old walls, right in the middle of the trend district on what is probably the most beautiful square in the area. Rooms are ok, more like what an Ikea designer would imagine a modern hotel to be, but ok. The staff is super friendly, breakfast is good, there is a very nice courtyard with seating from the restaurant and bar, one of the nicest places in the area to have a quiet meal or drink. Unfortunately, the room walls are obviously extremely thin. You really hear every word from the neighboring rooms, once I even heard a soda can being opened next door. As nice as the hotel is, I wouldn't stay here again because of the noise.
The location of this hotel is perhaps its best feature. Right in the heart of San Telmo, 2 blocks away from the market and in front of a lively park that plays host to a Sunday market. City center is about a 20 block walk, the closest metro is about 10min away and great cafes and restaurants only a few blocks away. The room was very clean and organized. Had everything we needed. Staff was friendly, attentive, helpful and always willing to provide recommendations. The only thing I'd say is that the hotel lacks a bit of an atmosphere, wish the bar was a bit more noticeable.
I cannot say enough positive about this hotel. It is situated in a small historic neighborhood called San Telmo. There are many places to walk to and there is a square in front where you can sit to eat and watch Tango performed. The staff was amazing!! They were very friendly and helpful, going as far as to provide you with a QR code in order to call them at any time and they will do their best to help you navigate the area you are in or find your way if lost. We felt very at home their and very well cared for. The staff all speaks English and take the time to answer all questions and give recommendations. The two girls at the front desk, Camila and Martina were stellar!!! This hotel is reasonably priced and located in a much better location that many of the more expensive larger hotels. This place was a jewel of a find.…
Had been several times and the staff makes the difference!!! Courteous friendly and very attentive. The restaurant serve great drinks and delicious food !! The breakfast selection is great definitely will be back
The staff here has been great, but the hotel is in bad shape. Sink is rusty (and it’s in the room, not the bathroom), soap dish is shower is falling off, toilet seat also falling off, ceiling is leaking water from room above. They don’t provide tissues, only 2 bath towels and 1 hand towel and no wash cloths. Hilton needs to spend some money here.
Yasmin and her staff did a great job welcoming us and taking care of us during our stay. The entire staff from the bartenders to the housekeepers were fantastic. Great location and well appointed. However, PLEASE put some money into fixing those horrible elevators. Only one of two worked but it was like an amusement ride, bouncy. We would most definitely return. Hats off to Yasmin and her crew!
Excellent hotel, super chic and peaceful, the beds are really comfortable and the location is very convenient, close to restaurants and bars. The staff at the reception are super kind! They recommended places to go and even made reservations for us.
I stayed here twice in the last 3 weeks and will stay another time before I return home. The location is great, incredibly well decorated Hotel with spotless cleanliness but the staff really made it 5 star for me!!! Yasmin, Martina, Bruno, Omar at the front plus 2 gentleman whose names I can’t recall, Laura and Veronica in the breakfast room and 2 bartenders truly went out of their way to make everything exactly as I wanted.
