We stayed at the Livian Guesthouse for 3 nights, having already spent 5 nights in another part of BA and also having been to Puerto Madryn for 4 nights. Our stay at Livian was therefore the last part of our trip to Argentina, and provided a lovely contrast to the other hotels that we used. It is certainly quirky and...

The overall experience was about average – by the skin of its teeth actually if you take into account the location's and house's unmistakable qualities – the owner and her friendly staff need to overcome passivity and develop their service to be more anticipating, accommodating and attentive.

We really loved our stay in Livian - the staff is very friendly and helpful, all rooms are nice and well equipped, this boutique hotel is very nice decorated and situated in Palermo not far away from all the restaurants, bars and shops, the next Subte (Medrano) is close, breakfast was very good, the garden and terrace are very welcoming!...

First of all, the breakfast was super enjoyable! The location of Livian is very convenient, in a nice neigborhood downtown Plus, the hosts are really friendly and willing to help you with any issue or request you would have or need. If I go back to Buenos Aires, this is definitely the place I would choose for my stay.

Livian Guesthouse offered a nice and cosy environment! Especially the Garden is very nice for laying in the sun and chatting with others. Also the living room with a piano is very cosy and the breakfast is good. The rooms are also very nice, with each one being individually and carefully equipped. We enjoyed the stay there a lot!

Livian Guesthouse was the first place I visited in Argentina and proved to be a comfortable, quirky and welcoming hotel. The location is good if you want to explore Palermo, but you'll be a bit of a way from the city centre. The staff were very helpful which made all the difference.

We really are surprised by all the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. Livian was basically a hostel with breakfast. We had our own room, and didn't mind that it was small. The shared bathroom is kept clean and has a fantastic shower. The major downside though is that this guesthouse was clearly designed quickly and without any thought to noise. We...

We stayed here for 3 nights and we liked the good location in Palermo viejo. The guesthouse is nicely decorated and the rooms have different themes. We stayed in the green and blue room because of hot water problems in the green room. Rooms are cosy with good beds, bathrooms were rather small. Staff was really helpful.

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
