I would so like to give it 4, because it was our lifeline. We were booked in the G. lodge nearby. When we got there the place was defunct and not accepting guests because of a water supply issue. So we were directed to this Pismanta hotel. I have stayed in worse places. The rooms were OK, but our air...

840 peso for a double room including breakfast, lunch and dinner. When a meal including two steaks for two people easily cost more than 350 peso, a stay at this hotel is one of the good deals we have ever found in Argentina during our five-week travel in this country. The food was fairly good indeed. I was happy to...

I stayed one night, having run out of time to find anywhere else to stay in the area. Apparently the 'hotel' has just been refurbished - goodness knows what it was like previously. The reception staff were functional at best, but not at all welcoming, which I've found to be the norm in Argentina/South America, despite my lack of Spanish....

Take a hot bath, massage and leave the next morning. This hotel has very nice termal water baths (38-43 degrees) where you can relax. It has also good and inexpensive massage. The hotel has seen the best days a couple of decades ago. As a visitor from Europe it looks and feels like the Soviet hotels in the 1980s. Some...

My family and I stayed at the Pismanta Hotel as part of a tour of San Juan. We were told that the hotel had been abandoned for a time and then bought by a co-operative of former staff members who were struggling to get the hotel back on its feet. It certainly needs some more struggling. The furniture is dated,...

Stayed one night here in March 2008. Desk staff very friendly and helpful, as were other staff when I had a flat tire. I did not encounter any English-speakers on the staff. Breakfast was okay, but dinner wasn't very good (except for dessert). I don't think there's anywhere to eat within walking distance though, and not much nearby. My room...
