John Fernandes, owner of the B&B, was very accomodating and took great care of us. He arranged for a driver, gave us a tour of the city upon our arrival, and was available at all times to answer our questions. Happy hour at 7 pm was a very nice touch and gave us a chance to visit with other guests....

Now this is a real hidden gem,the kind that you find ever so rarely. THe 2 nights we spent there already made us feel like it was a home away from home. John treats u like family and his staff are so caring and kind. We were there with our toddler and he had a blast too! By the way...

Just back from Iguazu Falls and 2 nights at the Secret Garden, where we had a great time. John's place is pretty basic and rustic, but very, very clean and comfortable. What the SG lacks in amenities (like chocolates on your pillow at nite!) is more than compensated for in character and fun. Drinks each evening with John and the...

If you're smart, you'll pass on the Sheraton and stay at the Secret Garden B&B. John Fernandez is a warm, delightful host. For a fee, he provided transportation to and from the airport. He arranged a cab ride to and from the falls and made dinner reservations at Agua. This restaurant is comparable to our good New Orleans restaurants. On...

My husband and I were delighted with not only the superb cocktails, apetizers and fulfillment of whatever services we needed (laundry, transport, reservations etc), but also John Fernandez's insights into the area's residents. His commentary might not be something everyone wants to hear on their vacation- for instance if they're trying to escape dealing with the realities of world- but...

Beyond the important quality of excellent accomodations, John raises service to a new level. The included evening social time is unique in our experience with any type of accomodations. In addition John makes your visit worry free by making restaurant reservations on request and by arranging cab transportation with guidance on the going rate for that service. We couldn't have...

We stayed here for a couple of nights and it was a good place to be based. John has really great information about everything in the area. Bertha who serves the cocktails and breakfast is really lovely. There were some nice touches with the cocktails and the tour at the beginning. It's maybe a bit expensive - i do think...

Everything about this B&B was charming, from the host, to his staff, to the lovely food, to his immaculately and beautifully kept tropical garden, and to our wonderful accommodation. It was tastefully decorated in a colonial style, and met all our needs. John Hernandez is to be congratulated on offering accommodation that is both welcoming and a retreat, thoughtfully presented,...

Close to the centre of town, but secluded through the plantings of a tropical garden, this is a charming place. The host John Fernandez spares no effort in making you feel at home, gives an orientation of the place as well as dispenses valuable advice. Anything to make your trip more enjoyable, from arranging cabs to hosting informal cocktail get...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
An ideal place to jump-start your visit to the Iguazu Falls in Argentina. High on concept the Secret Garden is populated by tree ferns and other shade-loving plants salvaged from the slash and burn rural and logging activities decimating the surrounding rain-forest. Our location allows you to get a feel of living in a small South American frontier town and has easy access to urban amenities. ... more   less
