The hotel has 10 rooms, using natural elements in the building, in a rustic style, designed in harmony with our rich natural environment. The rooms are simple, not luxurious, spacious and structured in a single open space, without closed corridors or elevators. The rooms have an advantage regarding sanitary and hygienic security since they are not closed and small rooms. The rooms are equipped with private bathroom, sommiers, air conditioner cold/warm and TV Cable connection (the rooms do not have kitchen or an electric kettle). All rooms are private, not shared . The entire hotel has different levels so there are stairs around the entrance of the rooms and inside of them.

Jasy is a small, but charming hotel, and good value for money. There are only 10 rooms, each of two storeys. The rooms are large and airy, with fans and good aircon - very welcome in 100% humidity! The decor is fairly rustic, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included, and is reasonable, but not outstanding. The attached restaurant serves very good meals in a very nice atmosphere at a good price. It would be nice to sit out on the balcony if the conditions (heat, humidity, rain) permit. The hotel is within walking distance of the central part of Puerto Iguazu. They will organise transfers to and from the airport and also to and from both sides of the falls. If there are two or more of you, the cost is quite reasonable, and getting through customs to go to the Brazilian side is made easy. I can certainly recommend this hotel as a good value option. They also only operate with Argentinian pesos, and credit cards (for accommodation) are not accepted.

Carried our host gave good information, including about the need to pay in cash for our stay ( There are ATMs in town), our room had a mezzanine with two beds and a double below with one bathroom. There is air conditioning we didn’t need, and a ceiling fan, which was very creaky. The lighting is not terrific especially in corners.
Carried was very helpful in organising a taxi to take us to the Brazil side for a quick visit on arrival, next day we caught the bus to the bigger Argentine side, final day we also got a taxi to take us back to the Argentine side and on to the airport with our luggage, which made the most. Of our time. The restaurant serves a decent buffet breakfast, and also does dinner, al fresco, which was good food in a nice setting.

This is a special place. The architect supposedly used recycled materials to build. The concept was very well done throughout.

We were 5 people and the price felt reasonable and even better if we booked in person over the various websites.

The staff was gracious and helpful. A few spoke decent English or Portuguese so we could get by beyond our rusty Spanish.

The sheets were tidy. There were heaps of extra blankets. Plenty of chairs in our room. A great balcony overlooking the property. We could get ice and food delivered to our room. We could charge things to our room which was helpful. The air con worked well and the water pressure was decent enough.

The bottom floor had a dinette set and 4 beds. The beds were light enough that we could move them next to one another for our kids. The top floor had a king bed. The balcony was on the top floor. We really liked the space. We slept well. The bed was a little too soft for my spouse, but I was happy.

The restaurant. Good food and service. The drinks were great. The staff was helpful. Breakfast was a lot of breads, some fruits, sliced ham, and sliced cheese. The coffee, honestly, was not bad. If it came with real cream vs hot milk, I would have liked it even more.

Also the hotel is a reasonable walking distance to good restaurants and shops. I do recommend this place. We'd stay here again for sure.

We stayed there for two nights. Family of 4 had a quad room. We liked the hotel a lot, great location, beautiful setting, good breakfast, very helpful staff. Our only complaint was the subpar amenities - the bathroom shower stall has a skinny shower curtain that does not keep all water inside, leaving the bathroom floor soaking wet - which we had no means to wipe off. First day, no hand towel was left in our room, so we all had to walk around looking for our bath towels (no drying rack in the bathroom, so they were scattered around to be dried) to dry our hands. Furniture was very limited, not much space to put our stuff on.

Please invest some amenities to make travelers feel more at home.

Really cool, rustic vibe! So unique and perfect for us. Conveniently located to the border and the falls. Nice on site restaurant! Nice pool, although we didn’t utilize it. Had all that we needed for our stay. Private bathroom and AC for sleeping, balcony, king bed. Staff was very accommodating although their English was minimal at best, just an FYI. Really enjoyed our stay!

Location is good, short walk to commercial centre, hotel was once beautiful but now suffers from a lack of maintenance and upgrades. Breakfast was limited. Staff was friendly but only some spoke English. Iguazú Jungle half a block away would have been far better value.

My wife and I stayed at Los Troncos for 4 nights while visiting Iguazu Falls in March. This is a terrific little boutique hotel located near the "city center" of Puerto Iguazu, maybe a 5 block walk from the city main bus station and restaurant area. The hotel is run by the ever efficient, always smiling and super helpful Sophia (Sophi). She recently took over this hotel within the past few years and has done amazing things to make it functional, fun and (considering the amenities) a very good deal.

Our room was two levels: the first floor contained a good-sized bathroom, a living area with two twin beds, a sitting area with a table and a refrigerator. Upstairs was a loft area with a queen size bed and a walk out balcony that overlooked that pool and dining area. You could very comfortably sleep a family of four in these rooms. The refrigerator was always stocked with water, sodas, beer and had a variety of snacks on hand that were very competitively priced -- in fact the waters and soda were cheaper from this "minibar" than if we purchased downtown and hauled them back to the hotel.

Breakfast was beyond delicious: fresh breads, a half dozen different kinds of fresh fruit, juices, coffee, cooked-to-order eggs, and sweets. It was included in the price of the room. We also got lazy one night and decided to eat at the hotel -- something we typically never do as we like to get out and explore the places we are visiting. The pizza and appetizers we had were great! Would recommend to have a meal here. There's also two computers for guests to use located in the restaurant, and wi-fi is available in this area and around the pool.

The pool was warm, clean and always very refreshing after walking around in the oppressively humid weather (this is a rain forest) all day. A nice rinse off shower located right next to the pool helped to keep the pool clean and also was nice to rinse off that chlorine feeling after you took a dip and wanted to sit by the pool and have a beer or talk with other guests.

You may laugh, but the best attribute of the hotel: it's caipirinhas! The bartender was Frederico, Sophi's brother, and I have to say he makes the best in all of South America (believe me, I have tested them throughout Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador and Chile and he makes the best)! You get the first one free as a "welcome drink" to the hotel on your first night there, but believe me -- you'll want more! Drinks at the hotel were cheap, and every night we went into town for dinner, we always found ourselves back sitting by the pool, drinking these fabulous drinks under a blanket of stars.

The staff is always very helpful, be it giving directions or recommendations on how to get to or best enjoy the nearby Falls. They all spoke very good English and were a treat to talk with. Our flight left from Foz du Iguazu on the Brazilian side, and Sophi arranged for a cheap cab ride there with a driver that helped expedite our border crossing and made it super easy.

Really can't say enough nice things about this hotel. If I had to list a negative, it would be that they didn't yet accept credit cards -- and the wi-fi signal wasn't strong enough to be picked up in our room. But obviously, those are miniscule when considering the many positives that this hotel exudes! Stay here and you will have a great time in Iguazu Falls!

Don't stay anywhere else. Close to shops, restaurants, bus terminal (4 blocks) but it's own little tropical Shangri-la. Surrounded by palms and tropical vegetation, private and the rooms are huge, (2 levels) very rustic and very clean & comfortable. Private balcony overlooking a pool and wonderful open deck that is attached to the restaurant. The welcome drink was well received, how can you refuse a Caiparinha and the breakfast which is included was excellent. The tropical fruit was fresh picked and ripe and delicious. Excellent meals can be bought at the restaurant and the
Argentinian wine is well worth sampling. Well - everything was well worth sampling.

The staff are gems as well. They have been chosen for their helpfulness and their great attitude - nothing was too much bother. Keep it up - it makes such a difference !!!

We walked to the bus terminal, caught the bus to Iguacu Falls and back, saved ourselves plenty by not taking a tour shuttle. Recommendation - if you are going to visit the Brazil side of the falls, take a taxi from this hotel to the falls, they'll arrange it. Taxi driver checks you through the border and takes you to the falls all for about US$30 and its a good 3/4 hour drive. Not all the on/off bus hassle. Then return to Jasy. Brazil is more expensive and Jasy Hotel is hard to beat after exploring the falls for 2 days and you need the gentle rustle of the palms.

Have decided to stay here after seeing all the positive reviews on tripadvisor. I’m really glad I did! This was my second trip to Iguazu and I was looking for a place in a nature setting whilst being close to the conveniences of the town of Puerto Iguazu. After getting in touch with them to make a last minute reservation, I received a long explanatory e-mail from Sofia with all the answers to my questions and explanations about the place. Sofia’s e-mail also included many pictures of the place and I am attaching a couple of these as they’re very good and there’s none on tripadvisor yet.

Los Troncos is ideally placed as it gives you a feel of being in the middle of the jungle, yet you are only a 4-block walk from the town centre of Puerto Iguazu, which makes it handy for the bus terminal, restaurants (don’t miss Pizza Color with it’s amazing steaks and very good pizzas), supermarkets and other services like laundry.

The rooms are massive, each featuring a split level 2-bedroom configuration where there are 2 single beds downstairs and 1 double upstairs. On the lower floor you also have the bathroom, sitting area, cable TV, small kitchen (fridge, microwave and sink, but no stove), whilst upstairs there’s cable TV, aircon and a great balcony. All this for about USD 75 including breakfast and a welcome caipirinha at the bar!

The place features a bar, swimming pool and outside sitting area which is great for sundowner drinks. There’s also free wi-fi around the bar area! The whole place is built in a very nice rustic style and blends in well with the surrounding forest. Rooms and communal areas are spotless and well maintained.

Staff is all great and they really take good care of you. They offered to take our clothes to the laundry with no additional charge, and the fridge is stocked with large bottles of beer and soda at very honest prices. Breakfast is basic but very nice. They also organize airport pickups at discounted prices and can organize day trips and food deliveries if you’d rather just spend the night on the verandah gazing at the stars.

Very peaceful and very good value! Don’t stay anywhere else!
