Val Vista Village is our winter Paradise. We own a trailer here in this park for 8 years now. We are snowbirds so spend 5 months here. Love it. Awesome place. Awesome People. Fun Fun Time. It is a large park with all the amenities. Bocee Ball. Tennis pickle ball 4 pools. More more fun stuff to do. Woodworking stain glass etc etc

Stayed here during late fall and early winter 2016. Found the park to be clean and well maintained. As the snowbird season approached it seemed the activity calendar became so packed that conducting normal activities, i.e., entering and exiting the park, using the laundry etc. became more and more difficult due to limited parking and narrow streets. Residents move about the park primarily on bicycles and golf carts with little or no consideration of normal safety precautions. We drive a dually pickup and require more room than their typical modes of transportation and we were often frowned at as we moved around the park even though we seldom traveled more than 5 mph and used extra caution. Additionally, we walked for most chores and felt at times we were taking chances even though we stayed on the small sidewalks. There are in excess of 1500 sites here the majority of them filled with park model homes and we often felt looked down on by those residents, even though Cal-Am's stated philosophy is to keep RV sites available for potential purchase by those users of a park model home. RV sites are typically nestled between park models which means your view is all metal. Sites are reasonably sized however layouts of sewer hookups and power pedestals are different from any of the dozens of resorts and campgrounds we have previously visited. Extremely narrow streets make parking a larger RV (ours is a 40 foot fifth wheel) an almost impossible task. Overall the park is great FOR PARK MODELS, but a mediocre, at best, RV resort. Activities are the relied on draw and we are not big on many of them so will not return.

Val Vista Village is a large (1600 sites) park model and deluxe RV resort. Outstanding location, 55 and over, crystal pools, great grill with drinks and wonderful live entertainment every day. Large, paved sites. They keep the grounds pristine.

Prebooked to stay here a week in March 2020 and visit friends and enjoy all the amenities. Got there and paid and then discovered that once we entered the park all the amenities were closed. Stayed 2 days to rest but didn't feel comfortable and many people including our friends were leaving. Decided to leave early and we were denied a refund for the remaining days. This park took money for a 7 day stay with full amenities even though they knew before we paid that all the amenities were closed. I will never go to this resort again. Very very poor customer service and bad business. I will be complaining to the media and business organizations.

Stayed here this winter. Very large site with a real hodge podge of of accomodation. Really old park models, new park models, motor homes and trailers and 5th wheels. Some nice layouts and others areas where you can have the challenge of trying to back your unit between a carport roof overhang and a large palm tree. Once in you can enjoy the view of a 80's trailer trying to pass as a park model. On three sides in some sites. Many of these units should be demolished. Add to the ancient homes a lot of really tacky ornaments sitting in front of the units and you have the perfect trailer park trash layout.
There is a lot to do on site, much of it run by volunteers from site. There are a lot of very friendly people at this site.
The roads in the site have been sealed with a product that is constantly coming off. If you have a dog, be prepared to have a very dirty dog and feet from walking the site. There three dog parks, everyone in the park including the dogs were friendly.
There is a central area where people can gather to enjoy new friends with a drink, some food and decent music. It's too bad that line dancers don't know that every song written is not meant to be line danced to. Come on ladies, sit a few out and give others a chance to enjoy the dance floor.
The location in Mesa is good, not too far from anything. It is close to the airport flight path, so you will hear planes passing over often.
We will not be returning.

This was our first trip to Arizona, and chose Val Vista based on its amenities...There is so much to do here, I'd be hard pressed to get it all in... activities to suit everyone! Card, dance, exercise, computer & sports groups to name a few....The club house and main pool/ outdoor bar/restaurant area, is the best. The people we met here are very friendly and informative....lots of entertainment too.....definitely a resort setting. It has a nice mix of permanent homes and RV's like ours....lots of Canadian snow birds here....great location close to many stores...

We are full time RV'ers and everyone talks about staying in Mesa, so we gave it a try. Selected a Cal-Am facility, as there are 10 of them in this area. Was referred to our RV was too large for Good Life park.the Val Vista Valley property by the Good Life facility because. This place has everything. Nightly live bands, happy hours, craft shops, multiple pools and hot tubs, I could go on and on, but google them. Security is good and we extended our stay, we enjoyed it so much.

We have stayed here over the past 6-7 years for a week and up to 3 months. Lots of activities for everyone. Live music in the courtyard most everyday. Friendly staff and visitors. It feels like family. It was fully booked Jan->March 2017 so get your reservation in early.

1500 manufactured homes side by side in a park full of senior activities. Not my style by certainly convenient for those who want to stay active. Doubt if I would winter here but it's a matter of taste and life style.
