We wanted to stay in the centre and not get sucked into the Loki on the out skirts! Nothing against Loki. We wondered around the town looking at hostels and found this place. The guys that run it are great and really friendly. They have so much information about the Salta and Argentina, they are very proud of there country!...

Stumbled across this hostel after getting given a flyer at the bus station late on Sunday night and although weary decided to give it a chance. The guy paid for our taxi to the hostel and drew on a map when we got there so that we could locate a few of the shops we needed! He even offered to...

I didn't end up staying here, as my travel mate complained about people smoking inthe courtyard. The staff were very helpful and found us a place to stay across the road (7 duendes) and even carried our bags! Excellent service!

Despite this, the rooms are quite spacious and have electric heaters which is a huge plus in the bitterly cold winter months. The shower was great with hot water at all times and a clean bathroom. The staff were...

Pros: Location is close to the bus terminal and main streets; prices are on the low-end; well equipped kitchen; wifi is fast in communal areas; it seems that some of the negative points in other reviews have been addressed. Cons: Wifi is right about dead in the rooms; rooms and facilities aren't well kept and are quite dirty; we had...

My stay in Salta was unscheduled and last minute, arriving only after 19:30. I used the Get South booklet and chose the first hostel listed due to it's proximity to the main entry road. Staff were good, although I had to work out where and how on my own - but that is not difficult to do in this hostel....
