In our way back from San Pedro de Atacama, by car, we planned to stay one night at Hotel de las Nubes and to take the Tren a las Nubes trip. Unfortunately due to strong rain, the route 51, by Paso de Jama to San Antonio de los Cobres, was blocked. We drove 50 km and had to return. I...

This hotel deserves 3.5 (good). We arrived here after a very long drive from Cachi via Route 33 and then Route 52, both of which had involved spectacular scenery and stunning views. San Antonio is definitely a town in the middle of nowhere and is very quiet - no atmosphere, no ebulence - the people here work hard and are...

We arrived San Antonio de los Cobres after a very long and tiresome drive from Antofagasta de la Sierra. It was a pleasure to encounter this very good hotel and be able to take a long shower, have good dinner and a very good sleep. It is all in the fround floor so no stairs. It has free parking in...

Nice hotel at the "end of the world". Highly recommended because of the heating and, just in case you might need it, the oxygen supply at the reception. Be aware that San Antonio has it's own speed. Due to the height everything takes a bit longer and is a bit slower. Adapt and you will be happy.

After crossing the Chile-Argentina border at Paso Sico, we arrived at Hotel de las Nubes around 7:30 p.m. on a mid-winter night. No rooms were available. Our written confirmation was no help. Finally, staff phoned around to help us find a room. Luckily, one was available because a night in the car at S. A. de los Cobres would be...

Very nice place and friendly and very helpful staff. Thank you Esteban for your great advise on sights around here. Clean room and very comfy bed. It took a while till the warm water started to run in the shower. But hey, it's 3700 meters above sea level.

This was the only place in town that we could reserve in advance & we knew we'd have a late arrival. Staff was very friendly, room was large & clean. Breakfast was tasty & usual fare plus a sweet bread & fresh juice, The hotel rooms are getting a bit dated, but we had no complaints. The facility was clean...

San Antonio de los Cobres is a remote place; high up, poor. It is kind of a miracle to find a hotel there. And it is even the better that the hotel is simple but features what you need: clean rooms, private showers, bar, restaurant and last not least: Nice staff. Negative reviews forget often where the place is; they...

The hotel is simple and basic, but has something really charming about it. SAC was one of my favorite places in the Northwest - not much to see, but amazing landscapes around and the place has a really cool vibe. Dinner in the restaurant was unexpectedly good - we went for a couple of simple dishes (llama stew, quinoa soup,...

We stayed 1 night in the Hotel de las Nubes during the Argentinian winter. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful when we checked in. The room was nice and clean and provided everything we needed. The dinner was great - we tried lama for the first time and liked it a lot! The lobby , where we had our...
