This hotel is very tired and in need of a refurbishment. There is no natural light into the room, window has shutters jamed shut, the room is very small, cabinetry in the bathroom is falling appart. Wi-fi, only works near the room door, keeps dropping out. Considering how expensive this stay was, very disappointed.
Room was clean and simple. Great wifi. Excellent continental breakfast. Box lunches are available if you want to take with you on a tour. Heat in hotel was good- weather outside was freezing. I wish room had an electric kettle. Hotel is a bit far from main town center but close to two great restaurants! Hotel staff very helpful.
Arrived and put in horrible room with shuttered window, no window locks, massive area of peeling paint, and a hole in shower floor as a drain...and bad mold smell. Was told “sorry but too bad we are full; until I pointed out no locks on window. Then someone wanted a room away from street so they switched me into the room I booked. Why did I feel grateful for getting a proper room? And very sorry for the people who traded down without knowing what they were getting. That room is completely unacceptable based on their advertised descriptions, price, and pictures. Ok. Then moved into completely normal room with the advertised city view. It was fine and worth a 3 rating despite the random cigarette burn holes on blanket. Breakfast limited and tasteless (ex. Watered down or skim milk for cereal). Got delayed on check out but Staff would not let me stay an extra hour without charge despite no one in lobby waiting for rooms. Also my booking agency said the hotel was already paid but hotel would not bill my credit card on file and I had to pay with nearly all my remaining cash—that wasn’t really their fault but they were not accommodating. I stayed at three other hotels in this area with no such “service” problems. Bottom line: pay the extra $10 or $20 for a better choice hotel.…
We almost had a sea view but it's less than a minute to the front. Very handy location. Rooms spotless. Waitress has had a personality transplant which is a pity. The front desk do with a little training course in customer relations.
My wife and I stayed 3 nights with a secured Booking.com reservation. After arriving on the noon bus from Trelew, we took a remiss(65Ap) for the 1.5km SE to this hotel. We had drinks with our lunch in their restaurant until the 2PM check in. The receptionist, who spoke hotel English examined our passports then presented our key and we took the elevator to the 2nd floor. Our clean #203 had a comfortable queen with 2 nightstands, small table and chair, overhead fan, closet, wall TV(no English) and a fully outfitted bathroom with bathtub shower. The sliding closet doors barely worked and an old metal shuttered window looked out over a courtyard roof, both evidence of a tired state of room. A young English speaking receptionist checked us into our second room at 1PM. #219 was designed exactly the same but with a brighter overall condition, a floor fan, and a full window wall facing the front street, with much more noise. A nice 7AM breakfast buffet was served in their restaurant; cereal, breads, cheese and ham, medialunas, cakes, yogurt, unlimited coffee with hot milk. Just down the street is the beachfront malecon with numerous restaurants and 1 block north is a nice small grocery. Frustratingly, this entire area is parked full at all times with local beach goers, even the pay lot 2 blocks north. We chose this hotel to visit the Museo Oceanográfico (1.7km northwest), to rent a car to spend one night at the Faro Punta Delgada Hotel de Campo (UNESCO site-155 km east), and 1 night again before our flight to Buenos Aires. This older hotel with good honest management and strong WiFi was a fine value for us.…
