My biggest complaint about this place is that I only got to stay for one night! You probably should plan to stay at least 3 or 4 to really relax and unwind. It is off the beaten path, but once you arrive and see the rooms and the bay it is worth the trip! The staff are wonderful, kind and... More

We enjoyed Las Balsas and its setting on a remote corner of the lake but staying now at El Faro (and there are a couple of other properties next door), this section of the lake is more spectacular. We had a great view at Las Balsas but room was small, floors VERY creaky, and walls somewhat thin. Breakfast was excellent,... More

Amazing stay at this hotel! Staff is very friendly and helpful, view overlooking a lake and snowy mountains is really nice. Place itself is cozy, resembling a cabin. Several places to spend time, other than the room itself: games/TV room, fireplace room, bar, etc. Not to mention the spa, with heated pool that links to an outdoor pool, external hot... More

The hotel is small and more like a home than a hotel. The view is stunning and lovely gardens with special corners to sit and read or simply enjoy the view. The rooms are okay, some are small but it is not a place to stay in your bedroom all day having all the nature and garden to use. The... More

What a great place for relaxation. The place and setting are amazing with being right on the lake, so peaceful. The rooms were more than enough for sleeping, when I hear people complaining about the size of the rooms. this is not Las Vegas, this is a boutique hotel with 15 rooms, you feel cosy and welcome there, this is... A most sublime smallish place (in terms of number of rooms) with nice spa, generous common area, superb restaurant with gourmet food, set on the shore of this spectacular lake. This is our second time here and it won't be our last.

We stayed our last night in Argentina at Las Balsas. What a wonderful hotel. I wish we had spent all of our Villa La Angostura time here! The night before our arrival, I received an email asking for our arrival time. In the morning, I responded that I thought that we would get there around noon because my husband had... More

The owner is very friendly, and the hotel is beatifully located on the lake with a very nice indoor/outdoor Spa. However, our room was so tiny we could hardly unpack (slightly more then 20sqm), we could do much better for paying $700 for 2 nights. Also - location a bit hard to find, at the end of a long dirt-road,... More

This hotel is beautifully positioned on a pristine lake. The facilities and restaurant are very good and the staff are excellent. The only issue, as may others have commented upon, is the size of the rooms, which are very small. If this isn't an issue for you, then I highly recommend!

This place is a beautiful gem on the edge of lake in a very quiet area outside of Bariloche. Although the room we stayed in was tiny, we spent very little time in the room. The service was outstanding, the food was the best we had on our South America trip, and the hikes nearby were wonderful.
