My wife and I stayed here 2 nights and we found it quite a good place to stay. Reception was very helpful and english was well understood. Our safe wasn't working and it took some effort to sort things out, but they didn't give up and kept going until resolved. They were also very friendly and helpful whenever we asked...

I stayed in double(two twins) room with private bathroom. Nice size rooms, good breakfast , great kitchen if you want to prepare your own dinner or lunch. Very helpfull with bus reservations to El Chalten and Puerto Natales, also with trips to Perito Moreno.

Dorm rooms (separated by gender) with in-room toilet and shower! Kept clean. Rooms are a decent size. Bottom bunks are a little tight (hard to sit up in since upper bunk is quite low). Lockers in room (bring your own lock). There is a free breakfast but it is minimal – tea/coffee and bread, jam and butter. I found the...

The hostal is really good. It is well located, coming in from the airport we dropped people off at other hostals, that were located on rough roads where you were quite a walk uphill from the centre of town. This hostal is located really close to the middle of the town and is easy to access the bus station, supermarket,...

In fact it is more a hotel than a hostel. Well located near main street in El Calafate. Aprox. 5-7 minutes walk from bus station. Nice, attentive staff, however, check-in personnel sometimes in overwhelmed by workload with buses of tourists (bad luck if you arrive at the same time as them). Large enough rooms, very clean, ours was quiet and...

I arrived at this place on the recommendation of someone who hadn't stayed here but had visited. It's a nicely designed, wooden building. The 4 bed dorm was ok. Although it smelt slightly bad. It had underfloor heating which I thought was a nice feature. There's a first floor lounge and a second floor kitchen and dining area (where none...

There are two separate hostels under this name (and management). I stayed in the building pictured which was really nice. Rooms and sheets were super clean and it was pretty quiet so I got a good sleep. Tours are a little overpriced and you can definetly get better deals if you shop around. 3 out of 4 of the staff...

If you are booking a double with private bath - ask for one of the new rooms at the back. On our first stay (1 night), we had one of these and were pleased - the cost is high for a hostal ($72 or $60 with an HI card), but El Calafate is expensive so we were pleased with the...
