I reserved the hotel through Expedia two months ahead of time,...We even wrote to the hotel and arranged airport transportation service and several tour hotel pickups. However, four days prior to our check in date, we were suddenly told that the hotel was closed. We had to reserve another hotels in a hurry and pay much higher price than usual....

This was supposedly part of a ranch -- the grounds are magnificent! There are approx. 10 villas with about 6 rooms in each. When we travel, we prefer 2 double/queen beds. Our large room was very comfortable. Large bathroom, separate wc, usual amenities. Direct TV so we watched some English shows which was nice for a change. The "villa" for...

I stayed at this hotel for two nights as part of a tour of south America. The hotel was a 40 minute drive from the airport and situated at the edge of the small town. The hotel was made up of a number of bungalows. Reception and a restaurant was in the first bungalow, then there were a number of...

Lovely room, beautiful grounds, good food. One small irritation, voiced by other guests, was the failure to replenish the complimentary mineral water after the first night. Otherwise, definitely recommended as probably the best place to stay in Calafate.

El Calafate was the third leg in a very busy trip. When we arrived at Los Sauces we were so happy to see a place that we could relax for a few hours before beginning busy activities again. It was the nicest hotel of our trip. The room was beautiful and the bathroom had a tub that provided a great...

This is a very high quality hotel with lovely gardens and great facilities The room we had was enormous and very stylishly decorated. Very good restaurant although pricey - not far off London prices!
