The Casa Verde was so beautiful! The staff went above and beyond for us while we were there. Anything you need they will arrange it for you. Very knowledgable about the area. We arrived late and they had food delivered for us. The rooms are...More
We visited Banos for 2 nights and decided to stay at La Casa Verde. It was initially hard for our transport from Quito to find the place because it is behind the major road but once we got there, our stay was fantastic in every...More
Location is perfect--gorgeous views of the mountains and river, incredibly close to the town's center, but peacefully silent. The room was clean and very comfortable. The vegetarian breakfast buffet was incredible--homemade bread that I'm still dreaming of, two weeks later! Delicious coffee, hot chocolate, yogurt,...More
Family of 4 stayed 3 nights. Arrived at 9:00 PM on a Friday. La Casa Verde ordered Italian food in for us and we were able to eat, unpack and relax. Rooms are clean, plenty of hot water and beautiful view. Distance from town was...More
A lovely ecolodge on the outer part of Banos. 2km walk into town, and a short cab ride back at night.
The owners Doug and Rebecca were amazing! Happy to help organise tours, full of recommendations as well. Hot water all the time. Great breakfast...More

In our rooms there was no air conditioner but there is no need as it gets cool at night and slight breeze. Even in the daytime the rooms we had were just right. We opened the windows and it was just right. The blankets on the bed are very thick as it does get cool. It is cloudy and the sun does come in and out. It is not humid right now. The locals tell me the weather is very temperate. At night you need a light jacket. Now if you are going to the coast or into the Amazon that will be different.

Hi, So happy that you will be visiting beautiful Banos. You will love it. My suggestion would be for you to stay in Quito overnight then go to Banos the following day. I would suggest taking a taxi to a hotel in the city for the night. I would hate for you to miss any of the amazing beauty of the country because of travel after dark. We took a bus to Banos but we were in the Amazon prior to going there so not certain about bus service to Banos. We also used private drivers several times during our travels. It is more expensive but affordable. Have a wonderful time!!!

The weather in Banos does not vary greatly, except during the rainy season from June to August. Typically it is cool in the mornings and evenings and can get quite warm during the day, unless it is overcast, in which case it simply stays cool.
I hope this helps!
