We stayed at Monte Selva in October 2020. The rooms were pretty basic and walls thin- you could hear neighbors. However, everything else was fantastic. Communication from the staff in regards to making the reservation, the follow up and checking in were excellent. We received a fantastic gourmet boxed lunch each day with our stay; breakfast was included as well ( I think dinner may have been too, but we opted to go out and check out other places in town). Tours were included too. A really good bang for your buck in terms of what was included with the affordable price. And the staff went over the top to accommodate and make sure that we had a wonderful time.

In my last day in Baños I wanted a facial and started talking to the Monte Selva stand in central Baños. We decided that I should get the anti-acne facial and wait until that night when the specialist was available. My facial was very lovely until the extractions started which was way more painful than expected. It felt horrible but the specialist was clearly practiced and I trusted what she was doing. The reason I'm writing this review (my first) was because my facial lasted and hour and a half instead of the hour I paid for and my skin- about 5 days after now- looks so good. I really appreciated the work this woman did and I don't know her name but I wanted to spread the word.

Conveniently located close to town and restaurants. Average hotel, nothing much to write about - clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed and breakfast is okay. There is a swimming and spa as well if needed. Good base station to visit attractions around Banos

The hotel looks outdated. They have cabins on the mountain, which are quite a walk up. Didn't see the inside of that. I had a room in the block that kind of reminded me of the soviet union. Unfortunately, I was in the back of the building, meaning that I had no outside window or fresh air. The rooms are very clean, the beds very comfortable. Shower is also nice. The spa area of the hotel is a bit sad. Half of the baths were empty, the other half i wouldn't dare bathe in it. Breakfast is ok but nothing fancy. The location is good, just a minut walk to some restaurants and the main squares. I traveled in a group, but would not pay the price of 65 dollars which i saw on booking.com, would recommend spending this money elsewere.

We stayed there 2 nights. The room and bathroom were clean. I had a corner room so I didn’t have any noise from neighbours only from the bar opposite my room (I can still kill the guy who sang karaoke all evening out of tone). Considering that breakfast is not an important meal in Ecuador, the breakfast buffet is very nice. If you want butter though you will have to ask. The hotel has a small pool and a group member recommended their massages. The hotel is only a few minutes from the town center and a 10 minute walk from the thermal baths.
