Casa Giralda is one of the best hotels in Banos. They have everything you need for a perfect stay: two spacious swimming pools, saunas, restaurant and even billiard and tennis tables! The property is located outside of the city which is great to be closer to nature. Rooms are big and clean, personnel - polite and helpfull. Totally recommendable!

We came for a 3 night stay with our 3 kids. The rooms are small but enough to sleep. The service was great from many of the workers there, but the one in the day we were about to leave, changed my whole view on it. My kid fell in our way to the restaurant in the morning because their walkway is tiled, with no grip. Just walking... I fell also but not that hard. I took my kid to the front desk. Receptionist showed no urgency to help nor any empathy even though my son had a bloody bruise on his head and was screaming in pain. I told her what happened and her response was that “we been having a lot of complaints about it”. I asked her to help with some ice, she then told me to go back to the restaurant. With a screaming child, through the same walkway to the restaurant for ice. I would also write about the mediocre massage with latex gloves but i think this is enough for now.

Thanks for you comment, We had already send formal apologies from our general manager about this big gap in one of our service associates, and we are taking the steps so this will never happen again. We are waiting, unfortunately for the climate to stop raining so we can resolve the issue of that slippery ramp, designed for wheelchairs but used by everyone. We are working on making the service better and your complaints will ensure that this issue will never happen again. About the massage, unfortunately the Baños City Council has just given the order that all massage and masseuse in the city of Baños should be given while wearing a thin latex glove. We are quite preoccupied about it and we are working with the tourism association to find out the reason for this crazy idea. We deeply apologize for this and we will work as much as we can to change the local politics for massages. Thanks

We stay for 3 nights at the hotel. The rooms are small but did the job. Everything was clean. Comfortable beds, nice pillows. It was changing weather and we were comfortable even if one of the nights was cold. It does smell a bit humid but opening the windows does the job. The staff were super nice, went out of they way to answer all our questions and even baked a BDay cake as a surprise for one of our friend. Breakfast was good, we had special requests and they were nice enough to accommodate all of them. We did not eat at the restaurant beside our breakfast. We took tours at the front desk and had a great time doing them. You can walk down to the village or take a taxi: 2$ ride. We also went to the El Salado pool twice in our stay. Go early it gets crowed around 10-11am. Nice place with a few pools, hot tub made with natural stones and mineral water pool.

We recently returned from a month in Ecuador and spent four nights in Banos staying at the Casa Giralda. I had reasonably high hopes for this place but I must say I was disappointed. I purposely chose a place that was a little bit out of town on the hopes that it would be quiet and I would be able to get some sleep but this really didn't work out. On the first night there was music booming around the pool despite there being no one at all out there. One phone call and two trips to the front desk finally got the horrible music turned off at about 11pm. The next two nights were ok but on the last night there was a large group staying there and they partied long and loud. If you want to get a good nights sleep look elsewhere. The other issue was that we really had no hot water. We asked at the desk and one morning had about 30 seconds of hot water but basically it was four days of cold showers. For the price I expected better. The good news is that the hot springs is a short walk up the hill and we really enjoyed that. The front desk staff was also very helpful in their suggestions re things to do and see in Banos. Overall, not worth the price for too much noise.

Hi thanks for your comment, Autorized parties in our place are all done at 12:00. However there are always guests that think that they have all the space for themselves and can party hard without concern, we manage them as much as we can but. Pool music finishes at 9:30 pm and that is stated in every information of the place. If you want a quiet place we recommend to ask for a room far away from the pool music. However it is ambiental music based on the Putumayo collection so it won't be a party. Thanks for the comment for the staff, i will pass the comment on Cheers and we hope in you next trip to tell us you want a room far away from the pool so you won't hear anything.

Rooms are tiny and run down. The staff had to come to get our hot water working. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. This was the highlight of the hotel. The breakfast was decent and the staff were nice.
