We loved our stay at Lusia's. We had a comfy hut in the rainforest with air-con (which we never used, the fan was plenty), a great bed, a fridge and a lovely deck to sit on. We were surrounded by beautiful trees and ferns and could also see the turquoise sea between the two fales in front. The staff were... More

The worst fale we stayed in during our 2-week holiday in Samoa! (Note: Lusia's and Luisa's is the same place, misspelt in certain guidebooks). As we were going to stay one night only and leave early on the 6am ferry, we decided to stay at Lusia's in one of their cheap T120 (for two people, bed and breakfast only). The... More

Well if you have to catch up an early ferry from Savai'i to Upolu, you'd need somewhere close to sleep. If you'd like to combine your stay with kayaking and a bit of a swim in the lagoon, Lusia's is the place! Modest price for modest accomodation with extremely friendly young staff and a really Iron Lady as the boss.... More

A welcomed cool drink on the deck was great after our final day of cycling around Savai'i. We chose this place as it was close to the ferry for our morning departure the next day. Staff were very helpful despite not being able to find our booking. We were given a room choice and viewed them prior to deciding. The... More

I stayed at Lusia's with a group of friends in 2013, and absolutely loved it. When I returned in July 2016 with my husband, I was incredibly disappointed. We had booked an over the water fale, and were told when we arrived that we would be receiving an "upgrade" because some of the fales were being updated. The "upgrade" that... More

We chose this hotel based on rating we read online but the actual hotel falls well below its given rating and glossy descriptions. The staff were very helpful and responded to requests but whilst the room we had booked had a lovely view over the lagoon, it was badly in need of attention. The paintwork was dirty, the bedside lamps... More

the chalet on stilts was awesome. we were worried that it may collapse but it was sturdy and strong. Great view from the balcony of the incredible blue water and great sunrise. Staff friendly and the food in the restaurant was very good. especially the coconut crusted tuna. We hired a canoe which was fun but it had a crack... More

Lusia's gets a decidedly mixed review from me - the positives were very positive, and the negatives really impacted my enjoyment of my time there. Overwater fale was fun to stay in, and the deck view for both sunrise and watching fish was incredible to enjoy. However, even with the mosquito netting there were plenty of bugs, particularly when I... More

Their rock pool was full of rubbish and the service was terrible. Staff asleep on the reception desk and playing on phones. Not at all willing to help. If you stay in the main block you get woken up by traffic at about 5 o'clock in the morning. They were VERY expensive and terrible value for money. Breakfast is average:... More

great location, but a bit more road noise than expected. Walked to Saturday morning market which was very busy and well worth going too. We stayed in the family unit on the top floor of the large building. It was very clean, air conditioning, showers, table and chairs, view from deck all great. Staff very helpful. very close to ferry... More
