This is a basic hotel about a 25 minute walk or 5 minute taxi ride (5 Tala - or about $2.30 US ) from downtown Apia on the Cross Island road. 5 minutes walk from the hospital and close to the National University of Samoa and Fangalii Airport (if you are coming in from Pago.) Rooms were air conditioned and...

If you want to stay in a family environment where the owners and staff honestly care about your welfare and happiness - you will not do better than this hotel. It is not a 'resort-type' hotel with swimming pool and bar. We stayed for almost 3 weeks in a superior room (about $50 per night) which was spotless and cleaned...

Stayed at Tatiana for 2 weeks in February 2011. I have traveled to Samoa a lot, staying at resorts and with Samoan families. Tatiana is certainly an amazing place to stay, you immediately feel at home and feel part of the family. The 10 minute walk to the hospital makes it the perfect location for medical students. My experience was...

I stayed at Tatiana with a friend for 6-7weeks over the summer as part of our medical elective. We picked Tatiana because of its proximity to the TTM hospital and its reduced rates for medical students. On our arrival (after 3 long days travelling) Tatiana very quickly felt like home. We were staying in a two person en-suite room which...

I stayed at Tatiana for 8 weeks with a group of medical students as part of our medical elective placement in the nearby hospital. If you are a medical student in the same position, you HAVE to come here...but that also applies to anyone else wanting to make the most out of a trip to Samoa and meet a great...

I stayed at Tatiana's for the 7 weeks of my medical elective. As a solo female traveller I had initially had some reservations about how safe I would feel, but the lovely family at Tatiana made me feel welcome and safe instantly. I'd like to say a special thankyou to Athene. She went above and beyond on a regular basis....

I stayed at Tatiana Motel with a couple of others from Newcastle Medical School for our medical elective. We stayed for 2 whole months, and never wanted to leave. Athene the manager, and her parents, went above and beyond for us, and helped with restaurants, car hire, activities and trips to other islands. Their advice was invaluable and made our...

I stayed at the Tatiana Motel, Tanugamanono, with 2 friends for 4 weeks in July 2010. I could not recommend the motel more highly! We were in Samoa from the UK for our medical elective and chose Tatiana for it's great rates and proximity to the hospital. It was definitely the right choice! Athene (the hotel manager) is one of...

We stayed here for one month during our medical elective at the hospital in Apia. We could not speak more highly of Athene and her family who run Tatiana. It is a superb place to be, especially if you are a medical student or traveller. Athene & her family do a wonderful job at making sure you are welcome and...

Athene and her family are the most welcoming hosts in all of Samoa. From the moment I walked throught the door I was greeted by a smile and lots of useful information. The family, friendly feeling allows travellers to bond and it is within easy reach of Samoa's national hospital in Apia. The quiet rooms are cheap, spacious, clean and...
