Love this place and any time in the area, I go out of my way to stay here. Iconic (one of the most historic & photographed motels in the U.S.), cinematic (c'mon, there's no one cooler than Steve McQueen!) and the staff goes out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. Book any of their deluxe rooms...

I make this my regular stop in trip between northern NM and Los Angeles and I've never been disappointed. But a great surprise with a rate as low as its cut-rate neighboring motel: a remodeled, upgrated room. It was spacious with large TV screen. But the bathroom! Wood grained tile in walk-in, very large shower, with modern showerhead and sink....

The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The staff are the best. I don't feel like I am checking into a hotel. It is more like going to a friends house. The coffee in the morning is good! I only stay here when I go to Prescott.

Well, it's the little things, right? Only one plug in the bathroom, in an inconvenient place close to the floor. Why don't hotels stick a crowbar in their wallets and buy good pillows? These were flat and awful. AC was pretty noisy/clunky. Two little tubes of instant coffee and circle K (yes, the convenience store) sugar packets. And an electric kettle,...

We had a reservation thru another service at the Heritage Hotel, who online said that would take pets, and upon arrival did not. They were also not helpful about finding us another place when we arrived after a 6 hour drive from San Diego. So we called around sitting in their parking lot.... and the Apache Lodge said "Come on...

I was reluctant to stay here but my husband insisted. I was pleasantly surprised. It is a quaint place. It is price was very reasonable. The rooms were clean. I would stay there again. There is a great little restaurant right beside the hotel that you can walk to. The hotel is on a good location.

I stayed in January 2015 when I was still commuting from Phoenix to Prescott for work. Alex and/or John were wonderful accommodating me for just a few hours of shut eye before I went to work overnight.

Was trying to save money and the staff was friendly over the phone and maybe the deluxe rooms are better but the economy room was old, the carpet was disgustingly dirty and the door looked like someone kicked it in and was put together with screws.
