I start by saying that I am a loyal Bonvoy member for over 12 years. Beautiful property, and amazing grounds. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the spa services and restaurant by the pool. My only amenities concerns was the heated pool, it wasn’t heated so we could not enjoy it at night time. I expressed it was my birthday and didn’t receive any special attention. Unlike other Marriott resorts I’ve stayed. Another concern of mines was the communication of the front desk manager. I communicated with Ms. Rosie Guzman of our cancelled plans for one of the nights in our reservation, although she was very helpful and provided the waiver forms for processing I never heard back from her manager that was supposed to review the cancelation request for one of the nights I could not come due to COVID-19 related issues, it’s been since 2/13 that I communicated and I have yet to receive a response. It’s 3/6/21 today, and over $600 in charges for services not rendered. It’s my hopes that management reviews their protocol for communication with guests. Thank you. Tips: get a room with pool view or golf course view because the resort view sucks

Dear AlebelMercedes, Thank you for being a valued Marriott Bonvoy member and sharing your experience at The Phoenician. We appreciate you choosing us for your birthday and highlighting our beautiful grounds. While we are pleased you and your boyfriend had a relaxing experience at our spa and enjoyed our pool restaurant, we deeply regret the issues outlined, including your billing concerns. The hotel is at best like a 3 star property. It's run down, has low end furniture, sub par service and cisco food in its shabby restaurants. Stayed 3 nights and the room was like a Holiday Inn room with scratchy towels, dirty /uneven flooring (see pic) and dingy overall with a terrible bathroom. The showers have constrictors in them so the water pressure is horrendously low. The hotel gym is a 5 minute walk on a street where cars wiz by, outside the main hotel in a separate building- who does that?!! And there was no one wiping the machines between users or even asking people to. The whole place is old and tired. The service, especially front desk- with the exception of concierge Rebecca and our server Art- was indifferent and almost borderline rude. The food at the main restaurant was overpriced and below average in quality and taste. If you are used to staying at luxury hotels, skip this one for sure. It's not luxury and not high end.

This was a truly pleasurable experience - thank you to the various members of staff who gave me a treat of a weekend. Pre-stay: Calling the hotel for information was an area of opportunity. 8-10 minutes waiting for someone to respond - a real deterrent and not normal. Check in: Much appreciation to the hotel for pre-assigning me an upgrade to an amazing suite. Ryan was both professional and friendly

Stayed at the Phoenician for the first time to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday, and loved it! Beautiful, clean, quiet room with comfortable bed. Enjoyed time by the adult only pool, and the serene beauty of surrounding desert views. The location was great, just a short drive to a variety of yummy restaurants. Would definitely return again!

This is our first vacation since COVID. We both have had our vaccinations so ventured out to escape a brutal winter. Although the hotel doesn't control the weather, we got very lucky to have an absolutely beautiful Saturday with blue skies and sunshine. Although we had considered staying at the FS, we are very pleased with our decision to stay at the Phoenician. The setting, framed by Camelback mountain, is a visual feast. The entry to the hotel and lobby cannot be captured in photos and must be seen first hand. The hotel was packed and busy when we checked in but it was quick and easy. We stayed in Room 1018. It was impeccably clean, spacious with new furniture and most importantly comfortable bedding (pillows). The breakfast was great with friendly servers and an exceptional choices. The quinoa bowel and caramelized grapefruit were a surprise taste sensation to the usual breakfast foods. We did walking Yoga with Jennifer and saw the cactus garden which is incredibly unique not to mention the size and expanse of the resort. The best part of the trip was the warm Arizona sun by the pool. We had a cabana with a friendly, outgoing server who recommended some of the best pool food that we have had. It is obvious that an extensive amount of time and expertise has been dedicated to ensuring the quality and variety of the food choices. Our evening was spent at J&G steakhouse with a view of the city that was incredible. Phoenix is lucky to have such an incredible ambassador as the Phoenician hotel.
