At the 3 Palms Hotel Scottsdale, the service garners praise for the staff's friendly and accommodating nature, though a few guests experienced miscommunication. While the rooms offer comfort to many, others point out the need for updates and heightened cleanliness. The hotel's atmosphere and value receive mixed reviews, balancing unique charm with concerns about being outdated and pricing issues. Amenities, including a well-maintained pool and whirlpool with added features like a Tiki bar, are popular among guests. The location is generally considered convenient, close to parks and dining options.

With Spring training in full swing many hotels are booked with little availability. I knew that while I was looking for a room this weekend. That being said I reached out to the staff at 3 palms. The manager (Stephanie) was more then helpful. I was able to book the room I wanted & everything went smooth & efficient. The staff was great! I got recommendations for places to see & eat. The location was great as well. Just a quick lyft or uber away from a few stadiums.

The hotel itself was actually quite nice, and I enjoyed my 4-night stay there. However, I had paid a deposit when I booked, and my final bill did not reflect that. In addition, the final bill was more than quoted on my confirmation email. In all, I was overcharged nearly $200. The reception agent told me she could not change it, but assured me she had noted the overcharge, and the manager would correct it. It was not corrected, and no one has answered the front desk or manager’s phone in the two months since, responded to voice mails, or answered multiple emails.

Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. I arrived early, an my room , was not available. They made suggestions of where to go. An stored my luggage. The place is exceptionally clean. For me it was in a great location, next to amazing park and a 2 mile walk to papagos park, that’s absolutely amazing.

I wrote back to the person from the hotel who requested that I review this response. It’s been 3 days and I haven’t heard anything back. While we enjoyed the hotels location, general appearance, cleanliness, and the fact that it’s next to a large park, we did have some issues. We were in the back of the hotel and there was no WiFi signal at all in the room. In addition, the mattress was so lumpy and lopsided that we both woke up with back and shoulder pain. This definitely put a damper on the trip. The biggest issue that I had, however, I was told when I made my reservation that the pet fee was $25 per pet per night. This was confirmed in writing in my terms and conditions. The hotel tried to charge me for $50 per pet per night. They explained away the discrepancy by saying that the terms and conditions needed to be changed because it’s been $50 for “awhile now”. This doesn’t explain why I was also verbally given the information by the reservation agent. While the hotel ultimately refunded the excess pet fees after I showed them the terms and conditions, it wasn’t offered. I had to show them my terms and conditions and tell them that since it was in writing, they needed to fix it. Only then was it refunded. This felt incredibly sketchy. If these issues are addressed at the hotel (the mattresses replaced, WiFi fixed and accurate and honest pricing), I’d happily stay there again but won’t return with the hotel in it’s current state. As I’m local, I also won’t be able to recommend your hotel to visiting friends and family.

Below average, in my humble opinion. Why? I put the 'maid service' hanger on the doorknob when I left, and upon returning that evening, it was stuck into the slot where the key goes. It had clearly been seen and moved but no maid service was delivered. Strike 1. I went to the front desk to buy some water, the fridge was completely empty of any plain water. Strike 2. Since I received no maid service, I called and asked if they could deliver some coffee packets to my room as I wouldn't be arriving until late that evening (I repeated the request 3 times to the person I spoke to, who seemed to be hesitant to enter my room even after I gave explicit authorization to enter and replenish the coffee. They already had approval to enter to do maid service, so why was this such a big deal? When I returned that night around 10 pm, no coffee in my room and I had to walk up to the front desk to ask for some. Strike 3. I went to the gym at around 6:50 in the morning (not realizing it didn't open until 7 am and I did not see any hours posted on the gym doors anywhere) and the doors were padlocked. I called the front office and waited 5 minutes...The woman (who said she was the manager) who came took her time, walking slowly towards me while staring at her phone the whole time waiting for her to acknowledge me. I finally spoke up and then she acknowledged me. Strike 4. I would expect better from a company dedicated to 'hospitality' and service. I did not feel even average standards of performance were rendered and therefore will not be staying at this property again.

First, Donna and manager Heather at the front desk did the amazing thing of offering me a full refund *a couple of hours after I checked in* because I didn't feel well and needed to drive home to Tucson. Donna was especially kind and tried to help any way she could. The other recent five-star reviews tell the story I would. This place deserves its TA Travelers' Choice award. I loved the lake across the side street. My room had a microwave but no fridge... that's OK because there's a big supermarket in a shopping center just across the main street, so I brought food back and microwaved it. It's a five-minute walk; driving would probably take as long. (There's a Salad and Go four minutes away by car on Scottsdale Road at Oak. If you haven't been to one and love organic salads, check their website. They also have huge breakfast burritos. The prices are amazing. Take-out only. Bring your food back here and enjoy it outside.)

The owner/staff go above and beyond to make things right. We ended up in a 2-room King Suite which I would highly recommend. The jetted tub was a relaxing touch. There is a wonderful walking path just across the street.

This hotel is a gem!!! After a poor check-in experience at an Airbnb, we wearily searched for alternative accommodations nearby… The Three Palms was very affordable, offered the softest sheets & bedding ever experienced by this tired traveler, provided outstanding customer service (shoutout to Brian, the evening employee, who went above & beyond to optimize our stay), and made us feel right at home the moment we entered into their cute, boutique lobby to check in. In addition, the pool area was fun, the Mexican restaurant next-door delivered food and margaritas to the pool (no delivery charge), and having a microwave and mini fridge in the room was a nice perk. A great experience, ‘would stay here again!

Great hotel for the money. Nice pool area as the pictures convey. Everything was clean. There is an adjacent restaurants and a few others within walking distance. Check-in was quick and easy. There were some noisy partiers next in the next room one night but other than that everything went well.
