The Courtyard by Marriott Sedona garners consistent acclaim for its spotlessness, including pristine rooms and well-maintained premises. While opinions on room sizes and views vary, the comfort and cleanliness remain highlights. The property's amenities and serene deck contribute to the overall positive atmosphere, although some guests find the extras costly and certain fixtures outdated. Nestled in West Sedona, its location offers guests tranquility and easy access to local attractions. The service at the hotel is frequently commended, with staff members noted for their helpfulness. However, additional charges for parking and breakfast are seen by many as detracting from the hotel's value.

The room was nice, the staff were exceptional, the location was great (right outside of downtown to avoid busy traffic) and only 2 out of 4 electric car chargers were consistently working. The Tesla Destination charger in front of the building did not work and the clipper creek charger stopped working 3 times over the course of 2 days. There were 4 of us staying there with electric cars and only one other person was willing to move his car after it was done charging. I'd recommend to the hotel to put signs near the chargers that require guests to move their cars after they are done charging for the sake of other guests.
During our stay, our microwave stopped working and the staff had it replaced within 20-30 minutes of being reported. The fan on our A/C unit also made a strange noise as the A/C was turning off each time, but everything else in the room was nice and comfortable.
Overall I would consider staying here again based on our experience.

I stayed in Sedona the other night on a solo trip and had a fantastic stay. Upon visiting friends in Phoenix, I was told about the beauty of Sedona and decided to experience it myself on the way home to Wyoming. I booked the Marriott because it seemed like a nice hotel and sure enough it was incredible. The room was very modern and upscale, the grounds were impeccable, and it was nice and quiet due to the lack of travel associated with COVID. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable on the location and pointed me to a few cool spots to enjoy for my day there. In the evening I sat out on the patio and enjoyed a fire. The price is a little higher but this location delivers and is kind of quiet at the edge of town. I would easily recommend this location to anyone wishing to check out the most beautiful town in America and stay at a peaceful and modern hotel.

Our stay here was wonderful. We arrived late in the evening/early morning, the staff was very accommodating. On our next day we asked if there was a a room on the second floor available for the duration of our stay and they quickly switched our room to one on the second floor with a spectacular view. The staff was very friendly throughout our stay. The Bistro had great food. The menu was limited but nonetheless great food.
The concierge, Gloria was so so friendly and helpful. She spent close to 20 or 30 minutes helping us find the best tours and attractions. She showed us the best restaurants to eat and the best areas to shop. She was extremely informative of the area’s culture and history.
My fiancé just wanted to hug her after talking to her.
To Gloria and all the staff, Thank you for a wonderful stay.
We would definitely stay here again..

We stayed Fathers Day weekend visiting with family, and were glad to see some COVID precautions in place in the waiting area and with a sign-up sheet for pool times, but were not happy that there was no room except for trash pickup and towel delivery. When I called the front desk to notify the them room had not been made, I was told that due to Covid restrictions it was not allowed for housekeepers to make up beds or clean rooms” just empty trash and exchange towels.” Fine, except we were not given any compensation for this and in fact were charged the full amount that would be expected for any other time. Maybe something upon checkin... a free breakfast voucher... a free drink at the bar? And notification on the website that room cleanup and sanitizing were not being provided during the time of Covid. And, figure the lack of service into room pricing. We understand (and appreciate) the restrictions, but would expect some form of acknowledgement or compensation like we have received at other properties. Our service from individuals at check-in and check-out were up to normal Marriott high standards, but management, please know your customers expect more.

This hotel is not worth the price. I’ve stayed at many Marriotts across the country with a much lower price tag and the rooms were both nicer and cleaner. We stayed this past week paid $500 plus /night and the shower was not even cleaned. Outside of covid times this would be bother me, but now it’s even more of a concern. There was residue from the previous occupant and also a razor cover on the ledge of the shower; the cleaning crew did not even touch the shower. Makes me wonder what else was not cleaned. The customer service was pleasant and the hotel had views from their floor deck but otherwise NOT WORTH THE MONEY. In the past week we have stayed at three other hotels, two of which were Hilton’s and it was a much cleaner, more comfortable, and spacious room. Would not stay here again. Bummer too because usually a Marriott fan.

Recently stayed for two nights as a titanium elite member. No water, no lounge here so no free breakfast, and no upgrade on the room or view. In fact, we booked two rooms and they put us right on top of a construction site next door. We were woken up at 7:30 am after a long night of traveling to the sounds of tractors digging and drilling. Not the peaceful Sedona retreat we had in mind. We couldn’t use our balcony at all because of the noise. When I asked to be moved to a different part of the hotel the manager never even apologized for our rude awakening. They also refused to give us a late check out- not even an extra hour even though our benefits state that we get guaranteed 4 pm checkout. Apparently that “guarantee” only applies when available. As the hotel was fully booked it was unavailable. My issue is this: are you cleaning every checked out room all at 11am? Doesn’t it take housekeeping time to get to every room and Isn’t check-in not until 4 pm? Don’t you think you could save my room to clean last and be accommodating and give us an extra hour or two?Even if you can’t do 4 pm they could try to make a concession by giving us an hour or two. They wouldn’t budge- wouldn’t even consider it. The rooms are nice but the views overlook a parking lot or a construction site if you’re really unlucky. We changed rooms the second night and the “pool view” we had was looking at the hotel wall. For $600 plus a night I would never recommend this hotel. Save your money or points and stay somewhere where they value loyalty and you get more for your money.

We stayed two nights in early November and this was our first visit to the area. We thought the location of the hotel was decent, although it might have been nice to be closer to town and other restaurants. The staff was friendly and used Covid precautions. Our assigned room was 144. I asked if a Platinum upgrade was available and was told an upgrade wasn't available but that were given a room with "a great view." If you look at the attached photos, we had a view of a firepit with a bucket in it and a garbage can for our entire stay. The hotel has a nice viewing deck. There were several couples up on the deck for sunset on our first night at the hotel. There was no service in the viewing deck area due to Covid. We were disappointed to find the viewing deck closed for a private event during our second night at the hotel. There is a small bar dining area off the lobby and hours of service were limited due to Covid. Prices on drinks were not consistent from night to night. We did enjoy the outdoor fire pit that was in working order at the hotel. Our room was small but clean. I would probably consider other lodging closer to town as there wasn't much benefit to a Platinum (now Titanium) Marriott member to choose this hotel for our visit to Sedona.

Overall, I would not stay here again. I highly suggest you look for another hotel.

Upon arrival, there was hair all over the shower. (not mine!) I called the front desk. They sent someone within 10 minutes. She “cleaned” the shower and asked to make sure it was okay. It was not! Housekeeping uses a swifter to clean the shower base. Even more, hair was deposited. She cleaned a 3rd time and now water and shoe prints were all over the bathroom floor.

The shower pressure was minimal. I’ve stayed at lower-price point hotels and had MUCH better showers.

The bed is as hard as a rock. Please invest in bed toppers to make them more comfortable.

The pool was cold and when asked why the outdoor pool is so cold the maintenance man said, “the heater must have turned off.”

You can purchase breakfast. A breakfast sandwich (egg, cheese on a hamburger bun) was $9.00. If you are a Starbucks coffee drinker, you will like the coffee bar. In the room there is coffee, but it is not Starbucks. Only 1 pod. So if want more than 1 cup of coffee in your room, you have to call to get more coffee pods.

I booked for 3 nights. Housekeeping does not come unless you request it and then it is only every other day. If you are a rewards member, you do not receive points for declining housekeeping as in previous years.

In the interest of transparency here is how much a $296 room costs:

$296.00 room + $18.72 State Occupancy Tax + $10.36 City Tax + $10.36 Occupancy Sales Tax = $335.44/NIGHT

Daily Parking
$18.00 + $1.77 Sales Tax = $19.77
LOTS of parking spaces so not sure why this Marriott is charging $19.77 a night. This hotel is on the very edge of town. You need a car to travel into town.

The outside third floor has a nice view. The fireplace in the main hotel was warm and comfortable. It allowed us to meet family members outside the hotel room in a comfortable environment.

I stayed in October. My review was submitted to Marriott but was not published on their site so I published it here.

Housekeepers weren't wearing masks even though front desk made a point to tell guests to wear masks. Rooms were comfortable but could have been cleaner in the bathroom. The hotel is about 4 years old. It's time to start deep cleaning some of the surfaces as well as around the caulking of the shower, etc. The best features are the pool and gym. They are on par with what some resorts.

Came for a wedding that was less than 2 miles away. This hotel is on the main road that leads to the center of town. The breakfast area which is a bar later on offers many choices but expensive. We wanted just egg whites with onions and no potatoes or toast or anything else and the charge was over $12.00 even without anything else. But... other option was getting dressed to leave and drive 8-10 minutes toward town to a coffee shop. There is a shuttle that comes right in front of the hotel corner and goes back and forth into town with stops along the way. Some nice family left Eclipse glasses on the table outside the lobby and many guests were able to see the eclipse from the large area. Hotel is well kempt and fairly quiet. Fun looking for the fridge and microwave which were in an odd shaped cupboard near the heat/air unit. Beds were comfy and came with feather pillows as requested. Warning - Closet was the smallest possible with room to hang 6 or 7 blouses, pants or dresses but not enough for two people with clothes needing hanging (we had a wedding to go to so hung up the nice things and lived out of our suitcases for some other items. Great location and yes, the only thing on a 3rd floor is the expansive outdoor patio with lots of seating and views of the valley and red mountains. Pool was deserted the two days we were there and weather was low 80's. Guess everyone goes hiking in Sedona!
