The Arroyo Pinion Hotel is a pleasant change from the more pretentious places to stay in Sedona. Just be aware, if you get a room on the second floor: there’s no elevator.
We were impressed by ALL the staff at this place! Invariably welcoming and pleasant, they went out of their

The motel looks really nice in the pictures. Not exactly what it looks like when you arrive. We had questioned if we were in the correct place. No elevator so we had to drag our bags up the stairs. Rooms were dated & just felt old. However the bathroom water was very hot. My

How far is the hotel from horseshoe bend and lower antelope canyon ?
Google map says 3 hrs 12 min (190 miles) from Horseshoe Bend to Arroyo. We drove this actual routelast April 10 and it probably took us close to 4 hours because the shorter way (thru 99a) was closed to traffic late night (due to construction). We left horseshoe Bend right after sunset and reached the hotel at around 11 pm. The initial part of the drive was one lane.
