In the late 1960s, the resort was expanded with the two-story addition of 10 luxury guest rooms, followed by another two-story addition with 12 luxury guest rooms in the 1980s to accommodate the ever-growing number of visitors to Sedona. We currently now have 30 total rooms for lodging. The pool, hot tub, gym, and other amenities were added as the resort and area continued to grow in popularity, and the luxury rooms have been updated to satisfy the need of modernity while keeping the charming and rustic feel of the original motel.

Detailed Reviews
In my lifetime of traveling, I have never stayed at a place that was so expensive, $300+ a night, and offered so little. The rooms are adequate, towels and bathrooms the quality of a Motel 8 - that may be an insult to Motel 8. There is no bar at this location, it's a shell of an establishment; you basically get a view - second floor only. But let's be real, all of Sedona is a view, don't waste your money there are so many nicer resorts, and I mean resorts, that will cost you the same if not less AND you'll get so much more! I was in a rush when I booked this place, big mistake, do not like overpaying for such low-grade accommodations. You've been warned.

This hotel was in a great location, it had a few parking areas so we were able to park near our room. Checked in fine and easy at 4pm, we were advised to keep the rooms doors/windows closed due to flies from around the creek area. Our room was on the 2nd floor next to the pool and we had paid extra for a balcony view which was worth it for our 2 night stay. There were some workmen on site but they didn't work late nor seem to get in the way but I did hear them at 7am as theybwere below our room. The room was a good size, clean and decently modern. Really lovely view of the red rock landscape, part of the creek and pool from our balcony. It had a TV, hairdryer and fridge but no safe. Being from the UK we often found it odd that a lot of places have the bathroom basin/vanity area outside of the bathroom which it was here also. Toilet and shower room was quite small. No lift so had to carry cases up and down the stairs. The reception area had a small gift and snack shop, checking it was simple as you could just drop your key off. I would recommend and would stay here again for sure.

Good location, decent rooms - with a balcony you also have a nice view of the mountains! Bathroom a little small. Check in very late (actually 4 p.m. - we were allowed to check in at 2.30 p.m. as an exception). Check out 11 a.m. Central location - you can also easily reach all the restaurants on foot. We'd love to come back!!

We stayed 2 nights and would definitely stay here next time in Sedona. Well worth the price to book a Mountain View room with balcony. Nice pool and jacuzzi on a deck with view too. Friendly workers at front desk. Microwave and hot/cold filtered water available in lobby while the rooms have small refrigerator. Everything worked fine. HVAC unit a bit loud but every hotel has that same issue. Sliding glass door to our private balcony had sliding screen door so we opened it and turned off AC with fresh air blowing in but no bugs flew into our room. Can’t emphasize enough how great the view was from balcony and even while sitting inside room, if you book room with Mountain View and balcony. If I had to make a suggestion for improvement it would be to add a second comfortable chair inside for sitting since only 1 padded swivel desk chair included in room. The 2 chairs on private balcony are typical metal patio chairs. Near pool deck are steep stairs leading down to creek and trail along creek bank starts there. Another nice large fenced in patio at end of building with giant chess set and a few benches and metal chairs to sit in the shade of trees, one bench has view of mountains. Parking tight but when I backed in to space it was easy to exit.

First, let us say we (wife and myself) would definitely stay here again. We were able to check in a little after 1400 with no additional charge. Cierra at front desk was extremely helpful with check in and suggestions for shopping and dining. You can park your car here (we suggest you do this) and walk to almost everywhere without having to look for a parking spot. Our room #139, was clean and had a refrigerator, that we used to keep a few things chilled for snacks. The view from our balcony was an awesome 180-degree mountain spectacle. Oak Creek below was babbling; crickets and tree frogs were singing. Even saw a Hummingbird! Behind Cedars was an Artsy shopping area that is well worth the 5-minute walk to explore all of the local artist's work. Up the hill to the right, for a 10-minute walk, are restaurants, many more shops, Chamber of Commerce (grab a map), small convenience store, local street musicians and more beautiful mountain views. After shopping and having dinner, we returned to our room and sat on our balcony. After the sun faded and the mountains turned to enormous shadows, we stargazed for a while. NO traffic noise. No city lights. Just nature as it was meant to enjoy. Pool was nice and clean. Pool closes at 2200, and you can request the pool lights to be turned off which makes stargazing much more enjoyable. Also, a few have written about the small bath size. Well, the shower itself was larger than any cruise ship shower we have been on, and the vanity was located outside shower and toilette. All in all, we were happy with the location. Response to outdated room: we came to spend time outside not in room. No issues for us with anything on the property.

We stayed at Cesars Resort for 6 nights. The hotel offers great views from their balcony rooms, an excellent location for walking to uptown Sedona and Tlaquepaque and a friendly staff. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub after a day of hiking. The rooms are average with limited furnishings (no dressers or a microwave) and are dated. Our tv didn’t work for half of our stay. We only received cleaning service for one day despite being scheduled for two days. We’d consider staying at the resort again if we visit Sedona for a shorter stay.

Stayed for 2 nights, check in was smooth with no problems. The evening front desk clerk was very nice and polite. On the 2nd day of our stay, we arrived at about 6pm and the trash was not picked up, the towels were not replaced and the beds were left undone. I didn't expect linens to be changed. I informed the front desk clerk and she stated it was a housekeeping mistake. She offered to change us rooms, but I declined since we were tired and would've had to pack all our stuff. She did provide us with clean towels and trash bags. Since rooms are over $200 per night, I feel housekeeping service could have been better.

Hello VSP456, Thank you for the feedback, however in the registration you signed it states, "That housekeeping services have been suspended due to COVID-19." We also have this posted in the lobby for all guests to see as they check-in and it is also located on our welcome letter in all the rooms. We hope to be able to offer that service once COVID-19 has declined. We are glad to hear that our front desk staff was polite and able to help with linens. Thank you for choosing SCR!

The room was clean very plain which was fine because the balcony and view were incredible. Unfortunately the front desk staff must have missed the customer service trainings. They were very short and not helpful at all. We were told coffee would be ready at 7am in the lobby well employee arrived at 7am and said coffee wouldn’t be ready for 20 minutes, ok,then the second day we had to beg for clean towels finally the housekeeper gave them to us and she was the sweetest worker there. We will not return even with the beautiful view.

Comfortable accommodation with parking. Nice view of the rocks from the room and you will hear the creek, although they recommend keeping the door to the balcony closed to keep out bugs. Great restaurants in walking distance which is important as parking can be problematic. The staff was very responsive.
If you stay here request a room on the upper level. On the first level you get a lot of noise from your upstairs neighbors.

What you will notice at the Sedona Cedars Hotel is that the staff really cares about you and is super responsive to any question you might have. The location is perfect - just at the crossroads of the two main roads in Sedona and you can easily walk to town - 5 minutes. The bed was very comfortable and the view of the mountain from the balcony is breathtaking. This is a very fine little hotel and I recommend it.
