we have been to goa many times and never expect a 5* accomadation we dont mind basic but we do mind mold growing on the walls fusty smelling rooms sheets that we,re cleaned but then marked with god knows what and still put on the bed even if you only pay £500 for two weeks it does not mean that...

Just come back from staying at this hotel & in a year since our last visit, not that it was great then, but its now in desperate need of doing up. The good aspects about this hotel the food is good, its in a nice rural location, away from the traffic & barking dogs during the night, no staff nattering...

having just returned from 2 weeks in the village royale feared the worst after reading reviews, but on arrival we were put in a 4th floor room hich was no good asa the ife has arthitis and no lift so after a few hours sleep went to reception and explained situation and immediately changed to ground floor room service as...

hi there all, we have just recently returned from the above hotel, and firstly if you are booked into there then go with an open mind about the hotel. we travelled as two couples and had a fab time. yes its a little out of the way but that also has it's benefits ,nice and quite on a evening/night ....

my first reaction was to run for the first plane home. the room was clean with a lovely view of the countryside at the back of the hotel but really run down as is the hotel. the staff are the reason this hotel stays open, our room boy Ravi was brill kept the room spotless even though everything is old...

stayed @ the Village Royal in Jan 2009 and had a great time. On return to UK, I booked again for Jan 2010. What a disappointment. The bar was still open @ 05:45, at the time there were some scousers arguing shouting and generally kicking off. That should have been a sign of things to come. The room was a...

This is a typical 2 star indian hotel. Room very basic and a little grubby. Room boy introduced himself once and offered to clean the room occasionally, sheets changed once and towels changed every other day. Hotel is dated and located outside Calangute safe to walk to during the day, however need a taxi at night. Majority of the british...

As soon we opened our room door at the "Village Royale" we knew we were in for a surprise, the bedding does have stains but is clean, the furniture has seen better days, the bathroom towels are grubby and the room is very very basic, But we did decided to stay and give it a chance. After a good nights...

i take on board negative comments made about this hotel, but if you arent happy with the room or bedding or towels, then do what i did and tell the staff. they soon sorted it! i enjoyed my stay and made some great people. only downside for me was towards the end of the holiday a group of total chavs...
