Great story again, The restoration of this hotel is truly a thing to be hold, almost no expense was spared to complete the project. A few finishing touches need to be done, but overall almost elegant. Watch out, Miguel is a talker. 😏
The historic hotel and restaurant/bar across Main St are impeccably restored, well maintained and tastefully decorated. We stayed here during the Superior Burro Race and were delighted with the room, breakfast at the Ladle downstairs and the personal service. Hotel Magma is owned by a Chilean businessman from Scottsdale who identified Superior as an emerging area and personally managed the design and restoration; he was on site all weekend greeting guests and making sure every detail was managed smoothly.
Okay, $200.00 per night is a tad high for a hotel in this town. The town does not get busy with tourists. 95 percent in the town are locals. But, it was a one time deal, so we went for it. I'm a huge fan of the movie UTurn and lots of locations at this hotel were used in the movie. So we decided to do a road trip for Labor Day and finally check this town out. The room was super clean and everything was in perfect working condition. The room was air-conditioned with central air. Flat-screen tv on the wall and the bathroom was perfect. Awesome view of the town from our window. The owner was a nice guy and enjoyed meeting him. This Hotel was fully restored and it looks amazing!
The owner has fully restored and modernized a mining era elegant hotel that had closed and deteriorated once the mines dried up. This is a boutique hotel property and is absolutely amazing and comfortable. Each of the 20 some rooms are a little different. The onsite owners work hard at providing an excellent experience for the guests. There are interesting outside patios. There is a restaurant onsite open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, with full bar. The town is being restored and there are a few cute shops to go to and soon to be an eatery and entertainment venue across from the hotel. The Boyce Arboretum is just down the street and a recommended activity. The drive into the town from the Phoenix valley is scenic. There is a slots only Casino about a 30 minute drive away.…
