We recently visited Copa de Arbol for 5 days (Feb. 10-14). First of all, our arrival was an adventure itself! Because the airport had been closed in Drake Bay for maintenance, we were rerouted to Palmar Sur airstrip, picked up by a taxi and taken to Sierpe where we boarded a boat that took us down the river and across...

The people working at this hotel are very talented, very smart and super friendly. The accommodations are appropriately comfortable, maintained and designed. We enjoyed all the excursions with the hotel and fellow guests, as well as friendly and tranquil mealtimes. Very happy we chose to stay here.

This small place is beautiful, has a great vibe to it, it is small and remote. Thing to do here is go on various walks and adventures with Walter, the house guide. He is excellent and the experiences are wonderful. We also thought the food was nicely done, nicely portioned and expertly served by the dining room staff. It is...

This is not for everyone but we loved it. Be prepared for walking, some steps and rocks, you will need a flashlight - but the experience is worth it. We had at least 25 monkeys come over our roof and jump into the tree next to our deck. 3 scarlet macaws flew by. The pool is glorious and the food...

This place is isolated. You only get in and out by boat. And that goes for all of their supplies, too. But it is a gem. Great location for excursions to Corcovado or snorkeling at Cano island. And one can hike around a bit - there's a trail that runs along the coast for a ways. And a lovely smallish...

This is a great place, loved the staff and the location. So, why just 4 stars instead of 5... well, part of that is that I reserve 5 stars for the few places we have visited that went well beyond our expectation. This is such a remote (accessible only by boat) and well designed place that we would definitely come...

GO! It is incredible! Even the start is unforgettable! The ride down the Sierpe River with Naturalist Gustavo set the scene for a wonderful experience at the Copa de Arbol resort. Along the river we saw falcons, white egrets, floating purple hyacinth flowers like floating islands. When we hit the place where the ocean meets the river it was choppy but...

We had a wonderful stay here with our two children ages 9 and 7. We did horseback riding, hiking the national park, snorkeling as well as a night hike. Hosea was an amazing guide. The kids loved the pool and the food was pretty good. The beach is beautiful but very difficult to snorkel from the beach. Overall a great...

We live in the Northern part of Costa Rica and I was determined to spend as much time down in the Osa during a road trip my husband and I went on. One of our stops was Copa de Arbol. From the first point of contact to our departure the experience was top notch. All the staff at the hotel...

This is an amazing resort and was by far the best part of our trip in Costa Rica. Family of four (two teenage sons) stayed five nigths and we would have loved to stay even longer. Cabins are really high end, modern, well equipped and yet fit well with the rainforest environment. Hotel staff is extraordinary friendly and tries to...
