WHAT A PLACE! Food was good, tropical wildlife in abundance, knowledgeable staff (Erik especially), wonderful views, remote location and a place to meet and get to know fellow travelers... However, the place is very expensive.

My family stayed at Las Caletas in late December, 2008. It was a perfect adventure! We arrived in Sierpe to meet our boat, prepared for a confusing transaction. However, the guy at the Las Vegas Restaurant was waiting for us, as was our boat driver. They took our car to a safe parking spot and away we went down the...

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Las Caletas Lodge in Drake Bay for 5 nights. The staff iwas incredible! Very courteous, friendly, helpful, and kept the place impeccable. David, the owner is very hands on, and was always available to answer any questions about the tours and nearby sights. Las Caletas is a smaller Eco Lodge that houses up to...

We booked our stay at Las Caletas after much research on trip advisor, and decided this property was the best value in all of the Osa. Unfortunately, we only had 3 weeks to book accommodations and local flights to get there, which we found out was too short a time frame for local air travel, as we were coming from...

My wife and I have travelled in Central America before, but were a bit wary of the more touristed Costa Rica. We were seeking something remote, that was ecologically/wildlife- rich, combined lovely isolated beaches and tropical jungle, was comfortable but "natural/eco-friendly", and had good food. Sounds like a tall order--and who can trust the web sites? So the Trip Advisor...

I have travelled for years, and this is the first review that I have ever written about a hotel I have stayed at. From the minute that my boyfriend and I arrived at Las Caletas (after a three hour boat ride - other than by plane, the only way to get there), we realized that we were in paradise ....

Las Caletas gets five stars for its friendly Tico staff, gourmet meals, and supplying all the comforts of home despite being way way off the grid. We spent two nights there, and while it rained most of the time, we got to enjoy the great views from the main lodge and see some wildlife. You might want to consider carefully...

The four of us (2 adults and two boys aged 14 and 11) spent 4 nights in Las Caletas having read the critiques of other establishments in the area and were delighted. Your first views as you arrive on the beach already give you the feeling you have set foot in paradise. Occupancy was high :) - there were sixteen...

A piece of paradise! We can highly recommend this place! My husband and I stayed for 6 nights at Las Caletas and we really enjoyed our stay. The wildlife is amazing. You can just sit on the terrace the whole afternoon and you will still see monkeys, red macaws, black vultures, coatis, lizards.... Jolanda the Swiss owner is more than...
