I stayed at Tranquilo Lodge with my husband and 2 kids aged 9 and 11 in early December 2016. We stayed at Tranquilo Lodge for 5 nights. We flew from San Jose to Drake Bay in a small 21 seater plane - this was an adventure in itself. Small planes fly close to the ground so the views were fantastic...

This was the perfect place to stay in Drake Bay. The hotel is just off the road, across which is a little road leading to a beautiful and almost private beach we swam at every day (there is one hotel and a very few houses). We were a group of 4 celebrating, belatedly, our father/father-in-law's 80th birthday (just before his...

Absolutely loved our stay at Tranquilo Lodge. We came as a family to celebrate my father's 81st birthday, and found ourselves on the trip of a lifetime. Tranquilo staff hosted us with such care and love, and with great attention to details. The food was superb, the view from the Infinity pool was sublime (especially at sunset), the accessibility of...

We stayed at Tranquilo for a week in late January. One way that we choose a hotel is their responsiveness to our email inquiries, and Mary could not have been more helpful. She coordinated our tours, answered all of our questions, and re-arranged our travel when the airport in Drake closed unexpectedly. Accommodations, Food, and Weather: We had a ‘cabina’...

Where do I start... my husband and I started our 17 day trip in Costa Rica with the Tranquilo Lodge. After reading the reviews and seeing the pics in trip advisor we were excited for our stay. The reviews and the pics do not do this place justice. It was absolutely phenomenal and breathtaking. When we planned our stay we...

What a spectacular place to relax and enjoy watching the birds. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and make us feel at home. The meals were healthy and delicious. The infinity pool was an added bonus and there were so many excursions to keep you entertained

Our 4 night stay at Tranquilo lodge was the best part of our 2 week holiday in Costa Rica. We stayed in bungalow 10 just off from the pool. We thought this was the best pick in advance and proved to be the case. A bit more privacy but all of the bungalows were amazing. Definitely worth the extra cost...

See are so excited that we were able to make your stay with us amazing. Thank you for such a great review. Sorry for the inconvenience of the internet going down. It happens from time to time in the jungle. Tours can be exhausting. We hope that the return to the hotel for the evening helped your relax and recoup...

Tranquilo Lodge was one of our favourite places in our trip in this fabulous country. Our room, located in the top of the hotel was really nice, cosy and clean. In addition, the view is stunning from there. This place is one of the most relaxing and calm i've been so far. The food (breakfast and dinner) was fresh and...

I can't say enough wonderful things about Tranquilo Lodge and its staff. We had such a wonderful time, the foods was terrific, the staff was so friendly and very accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. The lodging is so nice and the view from the pool is unbelievable. I would highly recommend...

The website for Tranquilo Lodge declares itself an “eco-luxury lodge” and repeatedly refers to the “luxurious accommodations.” This, sadly, is only partly true. Moreover, the website fails to mention one critical shortcoming of the property and is misleading in a number of other ways. But let’s start with the positives. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the food...

Thank you for your comments. We understand you were not satisfied with your accommodations at the hotel. In order to accommodate the size of the group you were with (25 people) we had to utilize our standard rooms. Our 7 higher end cabinas will only accommodate up to 18 or 20 people (our comfort level). The representing party was made...
