I happened on this place by chance. What a terrific find. It is quiet and comfortable. It is located right on the lake. The grounds are spectacularly beautiful with a well-tended garden. Very kind staff. Highly recommended.

We arrived by boat from Pana - excitement in itself sharing it with a huddle of Guatemalans going home from work . We had a warm welcome from the owner Rosa . As its off season it was quiet and I would imagine in the season the hotel would be buzzing . The gardens are beautiful and on one morning... More

I enjoyed wonderful personal attention from the staff. This hotel was recommended by friends and turned out to be a great find and a quiet relief from Panachel. It was less expensive than Isla Verde, but near enough to walk there for a meal.

My friend and ended up here after other hotels/hostels were full - thank goodness! We had a wonderful stay at Casa Rosa. Much more peaceful and quaint than other more "touristy" hotels at which we stayed. The hotel has one of the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen, is peaceful, and the rooms were comfortable. The family who runs... More

My family (mom, dad, and 2 teenage kids) loved our 4 days at La Casa Rosa. The food was great, the views were breathtaking, the gardens were enchanting, and the lake was refreshing. The rooms were peaceful and quiet, but plain--but you didn't come here for luxury, did you? Not much to do here except swim or walk around the... More

Location: about 300m from the dock, right on the lake, beautiful view, beautiful private dock. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking. Gorgeous greenery and set up. A+ Room: the only downside. Comfortable bed but the room itself didn't look so clean or well maintained. The mosquito nets had holes all over it. Windows don't open. The bathroom is dingey and meh.... More

This is a lovely small and very personal hotel located on the shores of Lake Atitlan. The gardens and sitting areas are wonderful, the food is good and the staff is terrific. It is accessible only by boat so all visitors and supplies to this village come by water or by way of a long hike from San Marcos. For... More

Lake Atitlan has a spectacular setting some 5000 feet above sea level in the highlands of Guatemala, one of the world's top tourist destinations, and Santa Cruz is in our opinion the most charming village situated on this lake. Casa Rosa is delightful: clean simple rooms set in the most charming and romantic tropical garden. It's so relaxing to sit... More

If you are lucky enough to have visited Casa Rosa then you are lucky enough. Truly a gem of a location and a place that has so much to offer. La casa Rosa, this was for me the best part of my trip through Guatemala. Situated on the edge of Lago Atitlan, La Casa Rosa is the most beautiful place to stay whilst in Santa Cruz. It is a great place for couples or if you are looking to just relax. The grounds are well manicured and there are cobble... More
