Villa del Faro is a beautiful, calm, and private place to leave the rest of the world behind. My wife and I have stayed here twice for a week each time in June (2006 and 2015). The property is immaculate and the food is rich, authentic, and carefully prepared. The family hosts are all kind, old souls--they will share their...

The review by Bay_Area_Traveler28 is spot on and if you are planning on staying here I recommend you really consider their experience before booking. The Villa del Faro is beautiful, and it's an amazing experience to be so far off the beaten path. My husband and I stayed two nights and really enjoyed walking to a relatively isolated beach and...

We stayed in the stone beach cottage for a long weekend at Villa del Faro, and so glad we did! We had the entire white sandy beach to ourself. It is a wonderful place to relax and get away from it all. We would walk the beach for an hour or so in either direction and would maybe see another...

We started our 10 day trip in Cabo with two nights at Villa del Faro and we wished we had booked at least one more night. The drive isn't for everyone so be prepared for a hour drive through some pretty remote landscape. You are totally rewarded by a picturesque and relaxing beachfront hamlet. Perfect for the relaxing travelers and...

One hour from Cabo on a dirt road, that really isn't that bad and a fun experience, brings you to the Sea of Cortez coast road and leads you to Villa del Faro. But it's a world away from Cabo. Honestly, we felt we like we were at a villa in Capri. That's how beautiful this property is and lush...

Our family spent dream holidays in Villa del Faro B & B this Easter. The place is just perfect for someone searching for a different, peaceful and beautiful site for holidays. The one hour drive from the highway to the beach is a nice experience, indications we got were very clear. Marilyn and others were excellent and helpful hosts. We...

We spent 5 days at Villa del Faro over spring break and LOVED it! The property is only 1hr from San Jose del Cabo & Cabo San Lucas, but is worlds away from the touristy chaos. The property consists of authentic Mexican casitas surrounded by lush native plants, mosaic fountains, and meandering pathways. Each casita is uniquely designed with carved...

Twenty-two miles down a dirt road straight from the airport in san Jose led us to "Shangri La". Words cannot describe the absolute beauty and enchantment of this remote eco lodge hotel. The impeccable care of the flowers trees and shrubs, to the gorgeous and spacious rooms all with a different flair (and offering privacy) and the incredible views all...

When we approached Villa del Faro from a distance and saw the enchanting Coco Palms amid the desert I kept hoping that it was the place we were staying at and indeed it was! And it only got better when we arrived. VDF is an artwork of beautiful colour, landscape, architecture and old world charm. The breakfast are magnificent as...

My husband and I recently spent eight nights at Villa del Faro, and, try as I might, I cannot find the words to adequately describe its magnificence... Located in a relatively remote area (just drive slowly, follow the directions, and you’ll be fine), Villa del Faro is an incredible oasis in the desert, only steps from a deserted sandy beach...
