The Secret Garden is found only with "secret instructions" as it is easy to miss if cruising around Tubac. It is a wonderful place and in a way, I don't really want to tell anyone so we can obtain lodgings without difficulty for planned return trips. It is a compound with statuary, Koi pond, waterfall, barbeque, comfortable sitting. It is... More

Stayed in the Queen's Wreath Room, one queen and one twin bed. Polyester blend sheets and covers scratchy. Winding staircase to front entryway steep and somewhat slippery tile. Multiple levels to suite, easy to miss two steps into different rooms and fall. Have to pass through living room and kitchen to get to small bathroom. If showering in the morning,... More

Dear travelgirl, We are sorry that you didn't enjoy your experience at the Tubac Secret Garden Inn. The Queen's Wreath is very popular with many guests. We have owned the property a little over a year and are continuing to make improvements as we go. This past month we have made some renovations including upgrading the bathroom; adding a queen... The Secret Garden Inn has a lot going for it. We had a spacious, attractive room. (even though the bed was saggy and uncomfortable.) It is situated on lovely grounds and is a short walk from the restaurants and shops of Tubac. The non-resident manager, Ionia, met us at the appointed time and was very helpful in getting us settled,... More

Thank you for your review and letting us know about the mattress, which has been replaced. We are sorry it was uncomfortable for you. Interestingly, we have many clients that like the fact that the owners or manager don't live on the property, as it gives them more privacy to enjoy the space and grounds. Management is just a phone... More

I love Tubac. It's peaceful atmosphere and friendly folks makes it a must visit when in Arizona. Another USA gem! There are fantastic eateries, clothes shops and traditional products to see and buy all without the hustle and bustle!

Awesome and Enchanting! We just returned from a great weekend in Tubac AZ and a wonderful stay at the Secret Garden Inn. From the moment we drove onto the spacious and secluded grounds, the Secret Garden Inn provided many surprises and whimsical discoveries that encouraged us to explore further. Anyone who has read the children’s book will not be disappointed... More

The onwer, Leila Pearsall is one of the most hospitable hostesses I have ever met. She invites you into the Inn and takes good care. The rooms are comfortable, the surroundings of the garden (even in the winter) invite you to sit in the sun and watch the birds, and the extras in the rooms (DVD player) make your stay... More

We found the Secret Garden Inn to be a lovely, quiet spot hidden behind walls in Old Tubac. Our room was comfortable and homey. The Inn is pet friendly and our dog enjoyed lounging in the shade under an arbor in our private courtyard. It's an easy stroll to shops and restaurants. The light breakfast was satisfying; the innkeeper delightful.... More

Hospitality was good, inn keeper was accomdating and pleasant. Web site pictures were not a reality. The gardens and rooms were ok, not what I expected from the pictures. My biggest challenge was that the room itself was not very clean. A lot of dust and dirt on the surfaces of everything i.e. I had to wash and dry off... More

Where should we stay? We decided to walk around and check some places out. We came upon the Secret Garden Inn and loved the location. It was a very short distance from the Town's main area. There are several acres of Garden to walk around or just sit and have a drink. Many birds to watch! This Inn has only... More

Tubac is a bit limited for places to stay if you don't want to stay on a Golf Course but if you head to the back of the town, past the church and turn left, you'll find hidden at the end of a tree-lined driveway, the Secret Garden Inn. It only has three en-suite rooms- all with doubles- but they're... More
