We've been stopping here since the restoration began. First, for lunch since the restaurant was finished early on in the process & now, every time we're driving through AZ. I've taken 5 friends for an over nighter and we all loved it. Everyone enjoyed cocktails, dinner & breakfast. The rooms are well designed with comfortable bedding. The rooms along the...

Who would have thought that stopping for the night in Winslow, Arizona, could be anything more than a room and bed for a weary traveler? My husband and I had read with interest the history of the la Posada Hotel in Winslow and decided to give it a try. What a treat! Not only does history abound there, but the...

First off I want to let you know the staff was great to include the waitress in the dining room. They were all polite, helpful and worked any issue promptly. Now the tough love - we initially were in a large room on the first floor that backed to the garden. The room was fine and it was on the...

beautiful place and too much to take in on just one nights stay. Our room was quite spacious and the bathroom and tiny dressing area were very quirky. The trains run very close by , but didn't affect our sleeping even though you were aware of them. There is tea/coffee/hot chocolate available to help yourself in the reception area....and apples....

We kind of stumbled on this place, and what a find! We got on the waiting list for a night over the Christmas holidays and sure enough, got a call and got a room on the way back from California to Colorado. The weather was freezing cold and grey, and we had been in the car all day. This large,...

The hotel was a lovely historical place that is like a living museum with wonderful nooks and crannies to explore. The rooms are all personalised and named after old celebrities ... but I have to say our room was not that comfortable. I think the bed was the least comfortable I had experienced in our 3 week trip.... the bathroom...

We were on a cruise last year in Australia and meet Americans who told us about this wonderful unique place. We also love the Eagles so as we knew we were going to be in the area as we wanted to visit the Petrified Forest. What a find, we choose the Betty Gable room and enjoyed a fabulous terrace where...

La Posada in Winslow is the most romantic, historical locations in the area. Nearly demolished, it was saved by a brilliant gentleman & lady. This landmark was at the height of the "GO WEST" era the train stop for all coming from the East. Most of the rooms have been restored and the beds are marvelous! Be sure and take...

Hotel is an oasis in the barren town of Winslow. A useful stop on route 66 if you are on the road. The Turquoise Room is a lovely restaurant and the cocktails are great. Rooms dark but spacious. Bathrooms tiny but well equipped. Make sure you ask for a room away from he rail line.
