I am not sure you can call the beds, beds. You are basically sleeping on a board. Very uncomfortable...especially after camping for 2 nights and looking forward to a comfortable bed. 9pm curfew as doors are locked and you don't get a key and they get upset at you if you knock after hours. Walls are paper thin so you...

Warm welcome, family atmosphere and is kept clean Plenty of advice available re local hikes, market days etc.Good food, quick service, fair prices and big serves! Dormitory is a bit small but costs only 35 Quetzales per night.Hot shower available and only 1 minute from the town centre.

I stayed a couple of nights and got to know the family that runs the place, they are very friendly and the food is quite good, the place is quite basic, but i was ok staying there, they actually recommended me quite a good guide, santiago, with whom i did a tour to acul, i did a hike before with...

I ate twice at this family-run restaurant. The coffee was good, staff friendly, atmosphere nice and wifi worked well. The portions at breakfast were huge! The location is excellent and it is easy to find. I did not stay at the accommodation so cannot comment on it.

We didn't see the other hotels in Nebaj, but as the town isn't tourist oriented, we weren't expecting a whole lot. The room and bed had a distinctly musty smell which we were able to deal with as we had our own silk sheet to sleep in. We took a shower and it was perfect; just be sure you flip...

Only reviewing the restaurant as I didn't stay here... moderate food, strong wifi, clean toilet, friendly staff. I ate here once for a coffee and again one evening for dinner. I had the veggie burger which was a bit dry and the fries were over cooked, my companion had tofu and that was delicious! The apple pie and the coffee...

I couldn't book online as it showed all rooms were full but when I got there I was the only person there that night until the next day when they were full. It had the best hot water I've had in Guatemala and Lorena and her son are wonderful. Santiago was my tour guid to Acul and we had an...

Keeping in mind that I stayed here during Semana Santa (possibly the busiest time to travel), my experience at Popi's may differ from that someone else would have. I was a bit disappointed since I emailed them to reserve a bed (and they emailed me back to confirm), only to show up and have the entire place be totally closed...

I can't speak for the hotel side of things, as I only used Popi's as a place to eat/drink. Nebaj was bigger than I thought it would be, but apart from when there's clear sunshine during the day, expect to feel a little cold and damp most of the time. Nights can be cold. Shivering cold, at times. Nebaj has...
