The property looks great from pictures. However, it's 209 steps from the road to the hotel, and no one to carry your bags. That's what you have to do before you can walk into town and get a decent restaurant.. The hotel claims internet (untrue), kayaks (only if you eat breakfast at their terrible restaurant). There is no hot water...

We enjoyed our stay at Jinava very much, the staff is very nice and helpful and made us feel comfortable right from the start. The steep gardens are beautiful. We arrived by boat at the dock of the hotel, splendid view on the hotel. The outdoor restaurant is excellent, the food very good (especially the crepas con nutella) although the...

This place was a nightmare. First of all the staff mentioned we could pay for our room with credit card but neglected to mention that they would charge a significant fee for this. When we asked them to work with us on this they were unwilling. But much more importantly, the rooms are damp, likely moldy and freezing! My wife...

This area is really beautiful but very well priced. The lake is surrounded by volcanoes. The only way to get to the hotels on the islands is by boat. The food they served was delicious and I have never seen a more restful setting. Everyone was accomodating. You must be able to climb steps to get to this area but...

The hotel is located on the lake shore with its own boat platform. The rooms are spread through the hill in which the hotel is located, perfectly and beautifully integrated into the scenery. The views from the rooms are STUNNING. It breaths peace, quiet, beauty. From the platform you can jump into the lake or just lay in the sun....

We stayed just one night, since we were staying a night in all main villages around the lake, but we were very well treated, best thing is the staff, especially Sr Gaspar, who with we enjoyed so much a very nice chat about the old and current times of the lake. Verry good prices, very quiet, fantastic views of the...

San Marcos was for us more interesting than the other villages around the lake. Smaller, less touristic and a better vibe. The hotel is built on the hillside and on the edge of the lake. Since their private pier has been destroyed, you have to climb a small hill outside of town and then go down their stairs (10 minutes...

My partner and I stayed here for 6 nights and really loved it. The rooms are a bit more expensive but the view is incredible. We stayed in Casita which was about $30 per night with a shared bathroom. We had a beautiful hammock outside our room that overlooked the entire lake. Our room was cleaned daily and the restaurant...
