It's an old hotel, so there was a shortage of power outlets. The bathroom fan in our room didn't work and the room door was stiff and difficult to open. Otherwise it was a very well kept hotel. The customer service was outstanding and very friendly.

Very comfortable beds, immaculately kept rooms, perfect location, and wonderful people who own it and take care of everything. Easy to understand why they have so many repeat customers; I know I will become one of them, as there is no place better to stay in beautiful Eureka Springs!

We had such a wonderful stay! Chris, the innkeeper, really made the experience special! He gave it a real Bed & Breakfast vibe. I saw a 2020 review complaining about being able to feel the springs in the mattresses, so they must have new mattresses. There are no springs, and were incredibly comfortable. One of those mattresses where you get off the bed and your partner can't feel you move. Location is fantastic! Right around the corner from downtown, you could walk if you don't mind the hill going back up when you are headed back. But there is a trolley stop right across the street, and the last trolley runs at 7:30 p.m. so I recommend doing that! It's $6 a day to take the trolley. If you need any recommendations on where to go or where to eat, just ask the innkeeper. He will let you know just what to do! Rooms are very clean and comfortable. We will be staying here again!

I have stayed here 3 times. I have always been treated as family. The accommodations are always great. I usually come for a music event. The people at the Matterhorn always have their finger on the pulse of what's going on or coming to Eureka Springs.

It’s so hard to find a clean, inexpensive hotel anymore but this little gem fit the bill. From the moment we walked in and was greeted by the owner to the time we left and thanked for staying by the owner it was a quite, comfortable stay close to downtown. They might not be haunted, they might not have breakfast, the rooms might not be newly upgraded but they were clean, comfortable and well stocked. We will be staying here again.

The Matterhorn exceeded my expectations, as a child over 20 years ago my family and I stayed in hotel and it seems to have not aged one day. Chris was an excellent host, my kids loved him. This is why you travel to Eureka for the hospitality and great experiences. Super clean, central location, and great staff 5 star!!

This is a nice--and affordable-place to stay in Eureka Springs. Chris, the owner is very friendly and will help you out with anything you need--just ask! It is up the hill and around the corner from the town, about a 15 minute walk.

Found this place after our last hotel was booked up. This place is amazing! Property is a little old but it the surroundings make up for it. We stayed in the penthouse suites with another couple Memorial Day weekend and let's just say, was very impressed. Has 3 queen beds, 2 baths and a large living area and kitchen with a large deck. Weather was still a little cool for the pool but it has one there. If you are looking for something fancy, this isn't for you but if you are looking for that quaint little spot, this is it. Call Chris, the owner and get this booked

We arrived later in the evening for a 3 night stay. Chris, the owner, had waited up for us and made sure we got settled in. He was great! Friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful for our entire stay. The location was very good as it was about a mile from the downtown historic area and right on the main road to start our day trips. The property itself is a bit older but well maintained. Sue, our room attendant, did a great job keeping the room clean and sanitary in these Covid-19 times. All the surfaces were wiped down, the chrome was shiny without smears, and the linens and towels were clean and replaced daily. The room itself was large and well furnished, although not luxuriously. Fortunately, the chairs were comfortable because it rained heavily each morning and we spent a lot of time in them waiting for the weather to clear up. The price was good. We were glad we stayed here and would likely do so again.

We have had a good stay at the Matterhorn. The gentleman in the office was very friendly. Wasn’t able to provide breakfast due to Covid-19 but all else was good. Quaint comfortable place. Lots of interesting decor. Beds were firm but comfortable. While we were here it was quiet.
