We arrived late with no notice and we needed to cut our stay short one night and on both accounts the front desk was friendly and helpful. The room was a bit dated and the lack of blackout curtains is a problem for anyone who needs a dark room to sleep in. After looking at the breakfast selection we decided to just spend a little more and head into town to eat.

I had stayed here several years ago and loved it. We were there for two days this week. What was a wonderful and beautiful place to stay has totally decayed. It is in need of much repair and more courteous help. We had requested a "handicapped" room. I consider when you have to walk up a hill and up steps not "handicapped accessible ". There were large black ants in the bathroom, the toilet hardly flushed, and not up to their previous detail work. Continental breakfast consisted of boxed cold cereal, granola bars, there were only 2 cartons of milk as well as 2 bottles of juice. 2 waffles in a plastic bowl, NO syrup, and no fruit. The front desk attendant apologized the meek breakfast as the food truck did not come due the Labor Day holiday. Wake up, there is a nice grocery store down the street. Maybe if she had paid attention to her guests instead of on the phone with a personal call. We really didn't care to hear a personal call with a friend. Again, DO NOT STAY HERE.…

We stayed here previously and had a good experience, so we thought we would stay again. This time it appeared that the property was getting run down and neglected. The carpet in our room had unraveled in a couple of places and in our friends room, the shower from the room above them leaked into their bathroom. Water would drip on them if they were setting on the toilet. Some of the exterior trim was damaged as well. We checked the website for the check out time and it said noon. The morning of our checkout day, we discovered that reservation email said checkout was at 11am. We called the front desk about it and was told that it was 11am. They said they couldn't get access to the website to change the checkout time. I know the property was for sale for a long time. I suspect that it has sold and the new owners aren't keeping in maintained like the previous owner did. The pool was nice though. …

The hotel was was priced well and the rooms were clean. It’s definitely an older property and dated with carpeted rooms which is not my cup of tea. The swimming pool is small but works to get wet. The staff were very friendly

This place used to be nice. The rooms are clean, but something's gone wrong.. Torrential downpours caused a waterfall in front or our entrance, I assume by clogged gutters. The front desk clerk wanders in at whatever time suits her. Luckily there's a convenience store next door so you can get coffee. A sign on the door says the pool is out of order and they "are on the list to get repaired". Overall, the property seems to be in a state of disrepair.

Don't believe the pictures you see on the website, looks quaint but it ain't. The grass was not mowed in the picnic area. The dumpster was overflowing with garbage and the trashcans were so full trash, it was spilling out everywhere. The television in our room was broken, front desk promised it would be fixed by maintenance the next day, it remained broken the whole 3-day trip. The pool was green and full of algae. There are blinds, but no curtains, so the light beamed in every morning and the air conditioner made a noise every time it came on and off. We had a very rowdy group wake us up the 2nd night and the cops showed up to shut them down at 2 a.m. So much for R and R. Breakfast was okay. Continental and the biscuits and gravy were pretty good. But it doesn't make up for the lack of service and upkeep. Do not stay at Land O Nod. …

We were needing 4 rooms and this was the only hotel/motel that could accommodate all of us. We had four rooms reserved beside each other but of course when we got there we were all separated. It’s an older hotel but they had started remodeling some of the rooms and they were clean. The breakfast was kind of like a grab and go but they did have tables that you could say that. It was muffins and honey buns, just that kind of general thing. Water was really good and hot in the showers.

The room was really clean, and there was a roof over our heads. They get one star for each. Those are the only two good things I can say about the room. The bed is very hard, the pillows need to be replaced (there is no fluff to them whatsoever). The hair dryer doesn’t work. The chairs in the room are very old and dusty, and are too big to be moved over to the desk if you need to sit there. The carpet is also old and makes you wonder what could be on it... All-in-all it was just a place to sleep, but because of the bed I didn’t get much of that. I would pay about $50 to stay here, definitely not the $109 I booked it for. I’ll stay elsewhere next time for sure.

This is a no frills motel, so if you want a place with a lot of amenities, this is not the place for you. That said, our room was extremely clean and the bed comfortable. They do not have hair dryers, which we didn’t know, so bring one if that is something you need. The breakfast isn’t much, mainly because of Covid I am sure, but if you need a quick snack to get you going it works. There is coffee in the rooms. Front desk staff were friendly.
