This marked our fourth time staying at the Lotus House or Zen Cottages, and all are their own oasis. Most recently, we stayed at the Wren's Nest. The owners have created an environment of peace, relaxation and inner sanctuary from the stresses and strains of life in the outside world. This space is all about letting the energy flow positively around the suite. Large windows provide plenty of warn and gentle natural lighting while the finishing touches provide just the right balance Absolutely flawless. .

Small, cramped spaces. definitely not great for more than two people. Kitchen was "as-advertised" and was exceptionally well appointed. The hot tub was another kettle of fish - or at least it smelled like an old kettle (it was musty and the jets barely moved the water). We avoided it... very disappointed. The site is located next door to a very rough looking (junk everywhere) house, that looks as if it could have been used as a set for "Deliverance." If you don't have a four-wheel/high-riding vehicle, beware... the "driveway" seemed to have been designed to rip the undercarriage out of a standard car. The "aroma therapy pot will run dry and stay that way, after the first day. There were some stones, set in a circle, that comprised the "fire-pit.. The promised firewood was not there. The patio furniture was covered with very dirty/stained cushions that smelled funky. Conclusion: if you are going to spend $200+ per night, get a hotel.

I almost don’t want to give a review because I want to keep this gem a secret. This lodging was perfect for us...amenities, location, budget. The innkeeper communicated quickly and thoroughly during the entire process. I would not hesitate to stay here again for a future getaway.

After the last crazy quarantine year, being at Stepping Stone was ultimate zen! Beautiful views, glorious stained glasses and awesome furnishings, and right next to many of the springs! It was so lovely to be there, and can only rave about how good it was!

Overall, the two Eureka Zen cottages I stayed in were warm and relaxing and really provided a retreat-like feel. Jill and Tony were very available, generous, and kind. I cannot say enough good things about my experience. I hope to return and will definitely stay with Eureka Zen again. My planned stay in Eureka Springs did not go as expected because of the weather - the whole town was covered in black ice by Day 2, making it difficult to get around on the steep streets. I was especially grateful then for such comfortable, relaxing accommodations. I stayed in the Stepping Stone cottage for 3 nights and made good use of the king bed and the tub. The weather made travel unsafe and delayed my departure. Jill from Eureka Zen offered me the Wishing Star cottage next door for the next night so I didn't have to drive until it was safe to do so. Both cottages had a view through the trees to Christ of the Ozarks. It was a short walk (or slide, in this case) to charming restaurants and shops. Brews and Eureka Springs Coffee House were two standouts. Several of the local preservation society's walking trails started nearby and were fascinating and well-signed.
