We visited this Chateau on the last night of our European trip with our extended family with teens and twenty-somethings. It was a delight! Charles Henri and Sophie make this incredible chateau with an ancient Keep homely. It is a huge project they have taken on to keep this place alive and gradually bring it back to it's former glory....

I have just wrapped up a remarkable stay at the Chateau de Saint Loup. For those who are interested in a stay in a 17th century chateau, little changed from the day it was completed, I cannot imagine there is a better place. Naturally there is electricity and indoor plumbing, and the accommodations are quite comfortable, based on 21st century...

My husband and I arrived on a raining day LONG AGO, the year 2000. SO THE DATE WE WERE ABLE T CHOOSE IS NOT THERE. Can't remember how we found this wonderful castle. The owner was just getting the tower rooms built and we were the only guests, (it was off season) He told us tales of how he was...

A lovely old chateau with loads of character. Beautiful grounds. Rooms are comfortable and quirky. (Don't always expect bathrooms en-suite although all rooms have access to bathrooms. The Chateau is listed and knocking down internal walls not on the agenda!) Charming (English speaking) hosts.Great food available if ordered in advance...A lovely experience and probably the best place for miles (kilometres!)

We just spent four days at the Chateau de Saint Loup for a wedding. The venue is absolutely beautiful! The Castle is gorgeous, the keep is gorgeous, the property is beautiful, in every corner, the rooms are beautiful and huge. Everything was beyond our expectations and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Honestly, you will not be disappointed staying...

I am not sure what I can add to the many rave reviews of this utterly charming, unique, authentic, and personal chateau experience. We were a three-generational family group of fifteen whose main purpose was to enjoy each other's company in a beautiful and interesting place. The Chateau de Saint-Loup turned out to be an ideal venue for our gathering;...

We arrived at the chateau to a very unfriendly" we don't usually let guests in until 3 pm but you can come in". We had only arrived early as it was cold and very wet. The owner came to the gate to let us in and another couple arrived who got his attention and he disappeared with them. We were...

Our recent stay at Chateau de Saint Loup has become the highlight of our holiday. We were greeted with great warmth and hospitality as soon as we arrived in the car park which continued until our departure which made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The enthusiasm and passion of our hosts was infectious. The castle itself is a superb example...

We enjoyed our three day stay at the Chateau St Loup. We had a large comfortable room at the top of the “dungeon”, a renovated tower where an English king once imprisoned one of his enemies. Other rooms are in the large renaissance-era chateau, which is slowly being renovated as revenues are put towards restoring the building and expanding the...

At the end of a pleasurable week long tour of France, my partner and I chose Chateau de Saint Loup for a birthday celebration. We were not disappointed. In fact the whole experience became the highlight of the holiday. I am fortunate enough to have stayed in some beautiful and very grand hotels in many different countries but few come...

“Don't choose the Suite du Nid Aigle if you want to sleep in late! Maybe try a room in the Chateau!”

“Learn to speak French, I am a picky eater and we forgot to get snacks for me, seems the store was way off, and also, they do not have convenience stops every few feet!! IT'S real, after all.”

“If you are a family, by all means stay in the keep. If a couple, we recommend one of the rooms in the main house.”

“Pick your room from the Chateau website, so that you know what you are getting. The price you pay will reflect the room you choose, with the better rooms costing more that the smaller rooms. (But still good value.) Older guests might find the spiral staircase to the top floors of the dungeon to be a problem, if this is the case ask for a room with minimal stair climbing. Because of the thick stone walls, WIFI works in some rooms, but not in others. If WIFI is important to you ask for a room with good reception.”
